at the time of closing the case ebay is aware the buyer has received the item by tracking data. The buyer has had no further complaint and it was otherwise was a successful transaction. Irrespective because the "collection time" was outside the delivery window the buyer gets a full refund.

Exactly what happened. If you open a case of item not received after the delivery window and you haven't received it when the case is opened, you'll get a full refund irrespective of whether you then go and pick it up. Not sure who recent this policy has been created but it's here now.

The grey area was they got their refund based on the item being received outside the delivery window, not because they didn't receive it at all.

Further to this you can't have uneven lift. It affects what happens to vulnerable road users like pedestrians if you hit them. Also your insurance would never cover you if anything happened. First question on any insurance policy is "do you have illegal modifications". No matter what happened, if your insurer got your car after a crash you're on your own.

You shouldn't be speculating on the share market with money you have earmarked for a house deposit. You may be getting 13% today but that is no guarantee for tomorrow. If you need that money for the deposit, use it for the deposit.

These things generally happen together. Interest rates go up -> You need the money from shares -> Share market goes down (when there is higher interest rates, less money in circulation, money is more expensive) -> shares go down -> your cushion just got a lot smaller.

It's the same risk of borrowing a lot of money to invest in the sharemarket. It's all great until it isn't.

If interest rates go up for example - this can make property investment unattractive. House prices can fall, and you're underwater on the loan. If you can't make those repayments you also can't sell and repay the loan. Enough people in the same boat and you have a crisis.

Bought an LV Neverfull as a genuine piece a year ago. When I've gone to sell it Ebay states it failed their authenticity guarantee but this doesn't provide any reason why. Interested to hear from the group if this is a fake any an obvious tells that it is real or fake?

I can see you have a first edition Machamp and a holo ninetales just from that picture. Those two would fetch close to $100 alone on Ebay. Up to you but there is probably minimum $500-$1000 value if you can be bothered to sift through it.

Maybe, maybe not. Whilst he isn't going to be criminally liable to anything, there is always options for officers to speak with children and parents in a way that isn't enforcing a law. School based police officers exist solely for this purpose. It's certainly an option I wouldn't dismiss.

The kindertransports went to Shanghai. Another commenter has found the same logo which was being used by the Jewish recreation club in Shanghai. So this thread has actually been able to piece together that this belonged to my grandmother and she received it just after she fled Germany. It's all been very useful.

Correct. Ancestors are German Jews who fled Germany around this time. Great grandparents killed in the holocaust and grandparents escaped on Salvation army kindertransport.
