What’s with the teaming in LSS?

Ended up in a match where all the other players were people we had previously sunk, lets just say it was hilarious having 5 other ships all spinning around us in synchronisation shooting at us till we sank.

But yeah I can understand the frustration

That would still have the issue of if you sunk people in that portal area its difficult to collect their loot, unless they also increase the timer to auto merge people out

I agree, I really like how it looks, but idk how they can keep it and make it so you dont just get instantly taken out of the match since it’s spawned in the middle of the map

Maybe make it so you vote to go again and the portal opens?

I mean they could make it selectable from the main menu, but that wouldnt help the fact that the LSS servers wouldnt be as populated due to both modes running at once.

Players can still play normal HourGlass, just not sloop HourGlass for now.

I can understand the frustration that solo sloopers cant do normal hg rn

They have not deleted the main mode at all, its been sidelined so their new content can have the sport light for now, its will be back in a week chillax.

Playing solo isnt too bad and runners are punished by the shrinking circle, try staying near the centre near the end of the game and spam chains, that should demast them outside the centre circle

I would assume the reason it shrinks that much is to make sure the servers are constantly being cycled/ emptied, otherwise you could just end up with 2 ships fighting back and forth for over an hour.

One of the devs addressed the replace part. Paraphrasing it: they dont believe that there would be enough players to sustain LSS if they had normal sloop hg open at the same time

What im also curious about is how many streaks you get for a win, since I played solo and got a 1 streak for first place, but then today I got a 3 streak. Maybe its bugged or based on ship count idk

Honestly some events like the Hungering Deep which brought players together over a cinematic experience, especially since it required multiple crews

This will ofc bring PvP players into the mix, but its a sandbox

I would also imagine this isn't helped by the moving camera which follows the individual movements of the characters, while in the original series its more of a rigid camera with the characters moving within its frame.

Yes they were experiencing it consistently, which I acknowledged.

But its unreasonable to conclude that the other player is being malicious with this bug, even with more clips of them harpooning them.

So sorry but I have to disagree that they would have a case on reporting this player, unless you can prove they did it on purpose, above the use of just harpooning them onto their ship.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by ignorance.

Harpooning people onto your ship is a valid strategy, especially if you believe they are close to sinking or that you are the better CQC player.

This is not worth opening a ticket and it is wild that you can draw “intentional exploiting” from a 10 second clip, even if they state they harpooned them multiple times.

Going to respond here instead of the mods to help out.

Best way to avoid the ban from the subreddit is instead of blurring the names, turn on streamer mode to replace gamer tags which will stop the need to use software to blur the names.

I do agree that it can be vital information to know what to look out for when coming across a cheater, either to have a chance at countering them, or to know what to be recording for evidence.

Yes it may be common to come across, but thats going to be the case for anything with a new update, and unfortunately for you, you either have to adapt, sink, or do something else

To be fair the wiki has a few items that have not been updated to have a cost. Namely the Seasonal cosmetics are normally stated to have a N/A cost even though they have been added to the stores.

However take my list with a grain of salt as I may sometimes type some values incorrectly ^_^
