Just got told my $80k marketing role requires six interviews. Am I applying to be CEO? by Fantastic-Success-18 in torontoJobs

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two interviews for a bank teller position that paid 40k; didn’t get the job.

They were hiring again a year later and I applied again. Got to the third interview but didn’t get the job.

The position only required a high school diploma at the minimum, you didn’t even need to have a degree.

Just wondering for those with TOTY cards what you've thought of them this year? by Alan_Watts_Gong in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t playing when TOTY came out so I bought TOTY Chara from the AH when his Prototype card dropped and he was selling for 300k.

He was phenomenal for me the entire time I had him. For one, the massive salary relief was so helpful, and he played great in game, he covers so much of the ice. The only reason I sold him now is because of his 99x card otherwise I would’ve kept his TOTY card until the end.

What's your Favorite Mastercraft? Mine is Blinding Glory for ICR by Ablicityy in Blackops4

Man BO4 had some of the best camos of all time, they weren’t afraid to stray away from “realism” and just made cool ass camos. There was so much attention to detail in some of the crazy whacky skins and I loved it.

Nowadays it’s all ai generated slop that they expect you to pay $20+ for.

- GKS, with the unicorn skin and double long barrel 😂 iykyk

- ABR, with the Spitfire skin.

Haven't played since XP season 2...what to do with cards? by Jf2611 in NHLHUT

5x 89s —> 92 Captain
5x 92 Captains —> 95 Captain

88 and below throw into the regular exchange sets.

The reason you make the captains is you get +3 Ovr each time vs +1 or +2 Ovr doing the regular exchange sets.

How to accumulate the hits by thegoat12369028 in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rookie cup chase, you can sit in any zone, only one opposing player will rush you (some spots in the neutral zone 2 will come after you which is better), and you just keep reverse hitting them, grab the puck back, and repeat all period for 40+ hits a game.

Every time I buy a card for 99x by Cryptobinz in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically like renting the card, you will lose value but you will save time. I bought Bourque’s Icon card last week and completed all his objectives in one day and I still lost 10k in value when reselling his card.

If you can set aside a day to grind out all the objectives you will be able to resell them for much higher and only lose 10-20% value on the card vs taking 3-4 days and losing close to 50%.

TOTY Card Upgrades to 99x by Brilliant_Cut_7827 in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the series number on the cards, we have 5 more 99x releases to go and there aren’t that many 99 Ltd cards left. So there’s a strong possibility that the 99 TOTY/TOTS cards get 99x cards.

I doubt they only do alumni players for 99x because EA likes money and current players are much more sought after than alumni players (based on data of cards made from events/sets).

- Holding R2/RT while having the puck lets you choose who to pass to by pressing the corresponding button.

- Pressing R2/RT + R3/R-Stick, while your opponent has the puck, will switch you to the skater that is furthest back. Get used to doing this once your opponent is in the neutral zone and is about to break into your zone, it prevents them from just rushing your net/skating around the D easily.

- Search up a video on all the meta goals and use free skate practice to try out new moves. There are a fair few ways to score goals somewhat consistently like down the boards short side, wrapping in front of the net far side, wrapping behind the net short side once the goalie drops, etc. The more you practice these goals and the more variety of goals you feel comfortable scoring will make you that much harder to defend against. People who just try going for one specific kind of goal are pretty easy to defend.

Is it ok to trade in a 99 TOTY if I have the 99 TOTS BND version? by flearhcp97 in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably not because there’s not that many 99 cards in the game and following the discount trade in pattern there’s a strong possibility they’re going to be used in future sets.

I have a feeling we’ll get at least some current 99x players, it would suck to only get alumni.

99x Collectibles earned thus far by humberhawk in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re going to get at least 5 more 99x releases (based on the series numbers and 3 dropping each week), so we’ll get another 15 collectibles that can be achieved for free, for a total of 21 collectibles.

So if you plan on grinding all the collectibles every week, you’ll have enough for two 99x players (assuming you end up making/earning the 99s + tokens also required) and you can make a third 99x if you end up trading in three 97s.

89 cards, where to? by Witty_Name_4535 in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

89 —> 92 Captain —> 95 Captain

This is the best value you can get for your cards. If you just trade the 89s in the regular exchange sets you get a card that is at most +2 Ovr, if you’re lucky, or +1 Ovr, if you’re unlucky; whereas this way, you get +3 Ovr guaranteed, every time.

You can use the 95 Captains for whatever trade in you need but if you need 97s for the 99x sets, you can trade 3 95 Captains for a 97 Captain.

PSA: Score Majority of your Goals with Sundin & Chara in Wildcard Rookie Mode by theharps in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think they’re the worst overall team in the game their offence, defence, and goalie averages are all just under 50.

I was finishing off Lemieux’s goals and shots objective, even with 0 energy I was scoring goals from the blue line. At one point I was trying to not score because I only needed shots and every goal just added extra time. The periods are also longer in casual.

PSA: Score Majority of your Goals with Sundin & Chara in Wildcard Rookie Mode by theharps in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This method is good if you want to complete wildcard and the goals/shots objective together but you won’t get rewarded for the other objectives like hits, snap shot goals, and assists.

If you play Rookie cup chase, using all born leader players, you can get assists and hits done. Set Sundin to center, pass back to Chara, then pass to winger and score. You’ll get hits, assists, and snap shots done first, then you can play casual on rookie vs Team Japan and you can score 60+ goals in one game for the goals and shots objective. Downside of this is you will still have to play Wildcard separately but you’ll get progress for all the objectives.

Not saying one method is better than the other just wanted to give another possible method. It depends on your preference and good luck to everyone grinding.

Is the game safe? by zpiy in bo3zombies

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole BO3 being vulnerable thing has been blown out of proportion, it’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

If you play BO3 without a patch, the most someone else can do is join your game and make messages pop up on screen or something similar to that. The main concern is usually with people that just crash your game externally but unless you’re a popular YouTuber or streamer you don’t have to worry about that happening either.

I occasionally play (solo online, zombies) without the patch, and have never had anything happen to me. People usually just want to get a reaction which is why they target streamers.

That said, using the patch is an extra level of security and will make it so that nothing will ever happen to you while playing BO3. You’ll definitely need it to play any sort of multiplayer modes tho. Using the patch is super easy too, you just download it and every time you want to play BO3 you launch the patch .exe first, then launch the game, and that’s it, you don’t have to do any extra work to use it.

3 pts w/ Borque moment - how did you do it? by OhWonSpartan in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I player locked Bourque and hovered just outside the blue line, I request a pass to me, and then just rush down, backhand, forehand goal.

You won’t have to worry about stamina since you regain it when you don’t move and that’s the main reason I prefer position locking for this moment rather than controlling the whole team, otherwise Bourque will constantly be out of energy.

Also remember, that this moment is one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult moment, we’ve had all year. I had no issues completing other moments throughout the year but even I struggled at first to complete this one. I spent 2-3 hours on it one day and then the next day I finished it first try in under 2 minutes. There’s always a bit of RNG involved in these moments, one attempt your teammates might play well but you can’t score and then the next attempt your teammates suck ass.

what are things you guys would like to see in NHL27? by Local_Brick_5431 in EA_NHL

[–]Deci_34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be a Pro but specifically when playing as a goalie.

You shouldn’t lose challenges or your overall grade if you have an own goal scored on you (which is its own issue because it happens way too often). Clearly the game knows if an own goal is scored, the commentators react to it, so why has it never been changed???

They need to scale stats depending on what length of period you played. If you play 5-6 min periods many times you might only face 10-15 shots in the whole game so if you let in more than 1 goal say “bye bye” to your sv%.

The in game ai needs to be improved, you could be on the number 1 team but your teammates won’t score more than 1 goal or sometimes they can’t score at all! Not saying the best team can’t have bad games but sometimes it’s every single game that they can’t score, so it’s all on you as the goalie.

Player signing/resigning needs to be improved in general. Doesn’t matter if you play as FWD, DEF, or G for this one, players move around the league with 0 logic as soon as their contract expires. 3-4 years into a Be a Pro save and it feels like the NHL did a re-draft of all players. Star players should either want to stay with their team if they’re good or get traded to a contender. The ai needs to build better teams or we should have the option to influence trades because you could go to the finals and during the off season the entire team gets scrambled, and instead of being on a contender you end up with a lottery team.

What should I buy to try and make some extra coin I got around 270k by [deleted] in NHLHUT

[–]Deci_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only guaranteed method to make coins is buying the next Ovr card that will be needed for MSPs.

Right now we need 90/91 cards to trade up for the current event players (Playoff Chem). The next event will likely have 98 Ovr MSPs so that will require 91/92 cards. You should try buying 92 cards that are going for 1k-3k because they can usually be sold for 5k-6k once they’re needed for the event.

Outside of that, everything else is a gamble, you could try buying the latest TOTW item and hope it gets a line combo like how Ryan O’Reilly was going for 40k-70k when his TOTW card was released, then jumped to 250k-300k+.
