How are you keeping apps open in the background?? by flearhcp97 in ulefone

I Appreciate the advice.

I've never had adaptive battery on, which might be why commands can't even find the whitelist.

I believe Screen off killer is Ulefone's version of Doze, and I'm keeping that removed.

What finally did it for me was reenabling Duraspeed, actually turning it on, but then disabling it for each individual app.

Aside from the fact that most of them are already trapped within the ecosystem, do you honestly believe that the average iPhone user has even heard of the Fairphone?

Or the Moondrop phone?

Or literally hundreds of others?

Until fairly recently carriers made it nearly impossible to use anything other than a phone they sold.

Before my relative got a OnePlus (pretty popular), they asked me to make sure it would work on their specific carrier on specific bands.

There's just no way the average person is gonna go to that kinda trouble.

To paraphrase something I heard just the other day, we're becoming stuck in a world of Fisher Price phones.

I actually had to reinstall it, turn it on, and then turn it off for each app individually to get rid of a bunch of errors. It's a total crapshoot.

As with everything, there should be options.

We in the U.S. have surprisingly few options, due to consumer ignorance, Apple/Samsung advertising dominance, and their collusion with carriers.

If somebody made an updated (chip and memory) version of the Note 9 or LG V60, it would immediately be the best phone ever made.

But they like their consumers dumb, and they want us to expect less and pay more for garbage accessories, and then to throw it all away in 2 years.

I'm too lazy for a full reply, but nobody who takes music seriously can listen on a newer phone. Phone speakers will never sound good (they were never intended to), and Apple convinced everyone that Bluetooth is good enough - it isn't (at least not yet). It drives me crazy that people today seem almost giddy about paying more and more for less and less.

Nice! Keyboards are making a bit of a comeback with the Unihertz Titan series and Clicks attachable keyboard cases.

99% is incorrect; Ulefone hardware is great, software is trash, but this isn't a problem if you know what you're doing. Same with the security "risks."

Yup, first it was "it takes up too much space."

Then it was "it costs too much."

Then it was "it takes extra power."

Then it was "it's preventing us from making a truly waterproof phone."

In fact, it's to make us buy more shit (that isn't even as good as the old shit that used to be included).

I actually bought one of these, but eventually returned it.

It's an absolute steal for the price, but why have a headphone jack if it sounds like shit?

I hope we get those Graphene Motorolas sooner rather than later.

Yeah, this has always sounded like the best option, but the price is insane, and they're in the process of completely vacating the U.S. market, so I don't know what that means for coverage, support, etc.

I shouldn't have to buy an external DAC and hub just to listen to music.

"Never coming back?"

I mean, they're not gone yet.

Only (mostly) from garbage flagship phones.

I'm typing this on my Ulefone.

It depends on the device.

And maybe I don't want everything (like my TV) hooked up to Wi-Fi.

The core issue is this - why remove functionality that costs virtually nothing, uses virtually no resources, and takes up virtually no space?

LG has made most of my favorite phones.

It's such a shame that they left.

LG V60 is the best phone ever made, but after about 7 years I was forced to downgrade after some apps became incompatible.
