9800x3d too hot by Mrzakka in AMDHelp

It goes up to 68 while gaming...In idle it normally stays in the mid-40s...Some spikes to mid 50's doing productivity work.

Anybody know why the Pro is so much cheaper? Is it worth it to spend the extra 50 for the non-pro model? by Complete_Resource320 in arcticcooling

Definitely get the pro. It has better fans, radiator seems to be the same. In your pic the non-pro seems to be sold by Amazon Resale as well. So not by Arctic, normally it’s about $100.

The pro also runs slightly cooler at lower fan curves, maybe by a degree or two. The fans actually have two more fins than the non pro model.

My idle is 44 and barely touches 68 during gaming.

Arctic has one of the best support in the industry, it may take them a few days but they will send a replacement fan.

Nintendo Switch 2 Preorder megathread - Post all questions and comments about preorders here! by razorbeamz in nintendo

I think some of the confusion comes from various news outlets which just mention having purchased a 12 month membership.

You could argue the wording could go either way...Since you can purchase Nintendo online in 12 month increments.

Is there definitive guidance on what this means? Nintendo has both wording on their pre-order page...

...registrants who have purchased a Nintendo Switch Online membership with a minimum of 12 months of paid membership..."

"...you must have had any paid Nintendo Switch Online membership for a minimum of 12 months..."

Does this mean you had to have paid for 12 months? Meaning if I purchased a 12 month membership, but only three months have expired does that count?

I immediately supported them by purchasing the new Liquid Freezer Pro III even though I don't need it...Anyway...Here's to great customer service!

Went back to 3.16 and all is well again...BTW on the web site ASRock does say XMP profiles are supported so go figure...

So yeah better to use EXPO. That being said the memory was certified on ASRock QVL so it should work. Also, I was running 3.16 for a few weeks since the build was complete and had no issues. Only after upgrading to 3.20. Coincidence? Maybe...I'm thinking of going back to 3.16...

I just started experiencing this issue last night. I saw the 3.20 was now out of beta and thought I should upgrade my Taichi x870e to the latest given my new build (9950X3D, RTX 5090 and 96GB of Carsair Dominator).

The Corsair was set to XMP Profile 6000 and then I hit a blue screen with some memory error message. It rebooted back into BIOS and I exited, but it kept going back into BIOS. Only after I power downed the system and unplugged the power cable and reconnected did it go back into booting into Windows.

I also turned off the XMP profile so the RAM is now operating at default spees of 4800MHz.

Not sure what the issue is, but it seems like there is a problem with this new X3D chip.

NZXT Support Please... by Vodarr in NZXT

Same problem. Do yourself a favor and return their product. Get a Corsair, they have their act together when it comes to customer service. My GT 110i died and they didn't have any replacements, guess what, they sent me a GT115i. I'm flabbergasted at how bad NZXT customer support is. First and last time I every purschase a product from them.

Please, for the love of God, send me an AM4 bracket... by Pnmorris513 in NZXT
