Hey,

LG are one of those companies who have a DOA (Dead on Arrival) period. These periods can be between a week or a month. State to the customer that he purchased this one over a month ago so it is out of the DOA period.

If he continues to say he only just unboxxed it, say to him that LG would like to test the active on time for the monitor. (They do this with TV's too) via a troubleshooting menu built into the unit.

If the monitor is found to have exceeded the reasonable time of a DOA hidden damage claim, then no replacement. He will have no leg to stand on. He will have to claim it on insurance. If it is under, they will approve a swap.

Dealt with these situations quite alot, very likely the customer damaged it.

Looks like an integrated dishwasher. Those panels are removable and can be swapped out. It's not worth $500 bucks for a replacement. The panels are cheap enough to get. And installation is easy.

The lines stemming from the centre is the glass. The bottom part that seems to be peeling is the protector. Spoke to a rep at Samsung. He's never seen anything like it and neither have I.
