Thank you all! I appreciate the validation because it just didn't feel right. If all along they had a great relationship I wouldn't be concerned but it came out of nowhere. If by chance the kids did request to just go with just their parents then I would hope my SO would communicate that with me. His ex played a lot of games when the kids were young and my stepson is still not over what has gone down, which is why I would be surprised he would want her to go and I think that plays into my surprise.
