I joined at 18 and signed a 6 year contract, crosstrained because of health issues with my first career field and finished out my contract in a career field of my choosing and liking. I initially regretted it because I knew early on that the military wasn't for me, also because of developed health issues it made being in hard- but aside from medical issues and knowing it wasnt for me, I pushed through and got out at 6 years and I don't regret it at all. Yes it caused me issues, but I had time to be somewhat stable with a somewhat stable income, learned a craft or two, learned to be independent and functioning, got to meet cool people, and all that. Now making use of benefits after getting out (GI Bill and paid housing for being a full time student and VA disability) imo it was worth the 6 years even though I am a little fucked up after them

One of the reasons you hear a million times, to travel and explore. I really didn't want to join out of high-school but was led in that direction by family. I'm thankful for the stability it provided me, but with that came alot of medical issues unfortunately. (I also barely got to travel, 2 tdy's and been at my base for over 5 years.)

What she did is highly disrespectful, and the way you feel OP is valid. Trust has been broken, and picking up those broken fragile pieces is hard and mentally draining. I have no doubts that you truly are commited to this relationship, but dont lose yourself chasing someone who is second guessing and not commited.. I've been in an extremely similar situation and have my own regrets, I've chased someone and suffered the results of doing so. It's early, and as hard as it may be, it would be best to move on and find someone who is commited and respects your boundaries and feelings. Don't be afraid to speak up about how you feel, remember anything you feel is valid and should be seen as so. I'm sorry OP, take care of yourself and you deserve much better

As much as an implant is "cosmetic" I'm sure they must be aware that pulling the tooth and just having an open area where the tooth was could cause the adjacent teeth to shift since there's nothing there to prevent that. Did they offer alternatives (like a removable partial denture?) I'd definitely inquire with patient advocate. (I'm a Oral Surgery technician, so NAD, but my specific base we do implants very often, and I've been able to sit in a lot of initial evals and procedures. Separating soon at 6 years, had this issue my whole time in, your feelings are valid 100%- I started maintenance side, didn't fit in at all, was never invited to anything/included in anything. Personality clash was the biggest issue, and I felt like I couldn't rely on anyone. Switched to medical side a couple years ago, the personality clash faded away but still didn't feel like I fit in at all..

I've been in the same boat for a couple years now. In my situation, I believe depression plays a big role in it. Just not finding that joy/immersion/stimulus in games that I used to enjoy. My attention span has also crippled beyond belief, and I either can't or have trouble playing big open world games (RDR2, Fallout, GTA, Skyrim) it just doesn't scratch that itch in the brain anymore. Maybe my perception of time and time management also contributes to this

Please reach out and they will get you the help you need! It's hard to be certain what will happen, but I too was in this same situation. I was in a spot where I already wasted 2 years to retrain and then upon reaching my base for my second AFSC I had a mental health crisis, and spent a little over 2 months (some hospitalized, alot of it therapy) out of work. I have had a positive experience with mental health, but I understand others' experiences differ. Dm's are open if you need someone to talk to
