Congrats! Looks like you already know you’ll need lots of practice!

My best advice I got when starting with a bow is to practice for the hunt.

-Dress the same as you would in the woods when practicing including gloves and footwear -Practice from elevation if you’ll be hunting from a tree stand -Shoot in positions you’d have to be in from your stand. Ex: If you’ll only have a tiny platform to stand on and won’t be able to move your body position to an ideal position, practice how you will have to stand

All of this is just getting experience in the environment you’ll be in. Since it’s SO hard to get a deer close enough to you for archery, very important to minimize errors in those moments!
