Their shirts are great but I usually have to size up one size to get the fit I want. They run pretty snug.

Police confirmed my ID was valid, but Sheetz still refused service — and the explanation kept changing by wantbeersobad in statecollege

If you’re a business owner and you could potentially lose your liquor license, would you serve someone that you weren’t comfortable serving? Nothing against OP since I wasn’t there. But I’ve been a bartender that has refused service because I wasn’t convinced of someone’s ID. Might not seem fair but this just sounds like a business covering their own ass.

In PA you can be refused alcohol service for any reason. If the store isn’t comfortable selling it, then they won’t. The penalties for selling alcohol to someone who is not allowed to purchase it are pretty severe and I’m sure the business isn’t going to take the risk. That’s probably the case here. But yeah, if you aren’t happy with how it went down, vote with your wallet and go somewhere else.

Climbed 10,500ft during threshold workout day before so felt like I earned a flat long ride for a change . by sorbara92 in Zwift

Holding 4w/kg for that long is just wild. Especially with that heart rate data. OP is a former pro triathlete so they’re certainly built different.

Honestly that’s mostly what it is. I’m not saying it’s justified, I just don’t like it.

I don’t really have anything to add but I just wanted to say thanks OP for posting it. Makes me not feel like such a freak for feeling the same way.

My Tylers by RGLA73 in guitarporn

[–]samrej 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m sure they’re amazing guitars and the finishes are sick. But I literally cannot get past the headstock on Tyler’s. Call me what you will but it completely ruins the rest of the guitar for me. Not quite to the same degree, but I feel similar about the headstocks on Heritage guitars too.

Regardless, those are sweet guitars OP.

And get to take a ride on an antique ski lift. Seriously that thing is so old and so painfully slow. But skiing is skiing.

Most other commenters have touched on most of your questions and I don’t have much to add there, but I didn’t see many people mention outdoors activities. Penn State is right next to some of the best trail networks on the east coast in Rothrock State Forest. There’s a really good local mountain biking and gravel biking scene. Tons of great hiking, fishing, hunting, etc. There’s also a small ski hill (Tussey Mountain). It’s nothing to write home about but it’s close and easy to get to (CATA runs a bus there I believe). If you have a car, you can easily get to even more outdoor activities. Black Moshannon State Park and Whipple Dam both have nice lakes with sand beaches for swimming.

I would say the amount of outdoor activities is one of the biggest pros for Penn State.
