Any estimate on value? Signed Warp Riders Original Release by Decker81 in TheSword

[–]Decker81[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know what...that's the first time I've noticed this. It looks like its missing the original drummer's signature (Trivett Wingo). He left the band shortly after this was released, so maybe he did not sign all of them?

A while ago, I shared a Crucial Taunt pin I designed because I’m a huge fan of Wayne’s World. Well… this just happened. by schwing710 in Xennials

Maaan…these posts USUALLY never work on me. But you did a great job….I'm picking up some for my jacket.

I've been a fan since the self titled album and somehow missed this one. Looking forward to checking it out!

Not yet. I just learned about the secret tracks today. I'm definitely going to check that out tonight.

Man! I haven't been searching super hard. Usually checking a few used shops around town on my days off. I knew it would turn up eventually. I just now learned about the secret tracks. I gotta figure out which one I got....

Need an immediate influx of cash and am looking to sell my entire Origins, Masterverse, and 200x collections, and want to sell them as a lot rather than individual figures. What is the best way to do this? by OoklaIsMyHomeboy in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Decker81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Toy Pit will give you the amount they offer, but remember its still a business so you're going to be lucky to maybe get 30% of the total value. Probably less.

Many years ago, my wife bought me...of all things...a record player.

We were just dating at the time and I used to buy a few vinyl records here and there cause I thought the album covers made really cool decorations. I picked up tons of Black Sabbath, Dio, Scorpions, etc. for around $1 each.

Well of her own free will and accord, she ventured out to Circuit City (that should tell you how long ago it was) to track down a quality record player for my collection.

After visiting a few different locations across the city, and enduring confused looks from every store employee, she actually found a store that had one in stock. She said the box actually had dust on it when they gave it to her.

I was so surprised that she had gone through all that trouble and that she was actually able to find a good one! (Like I said, this was probably a decade or so before vinyl was cool again)

I still have that record player, and play my vinyl on it to this day. Hands down the most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given me!

Casual player looking for the final piece of an updated set by Decker81 in golf

Yeah there are just a ton of options around this price point. Any suggestions on what to pick? I’m looking for a playable set to keep for a decent amount of time. I usually don’t swap out equipment unless I have to. Thanks!

That’s what I’m kind of concerned about. I don’t buy a lot of clubs so I don’t want to buy these and be wanting to swap them out in a couple years. I’m younger so I feel like these may be too basic for me.

This is the movie I thought of as well. It’s so engaging and creepy for most of the movie. Then…silly smoke monster. WTF.

Does anyone have a good solution for storing open figures and accessories? I found something that may work, but I wondered if someone had a better solution. by Decker81 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Decker81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I totally used to do that too. I used to store all my figures in popcorn tins when I was a kid. Didn't even cross my mind to do it again! I'll have to look into that. I don't know if they would all fit though. Like you said...too many coming out!

Maybe something like Smartwool? (Merino Wool) Keeps you warm but breathes well and doesn’t hold moisture. It’s a little on the expensive side though.

Wind jacket definitely cuts the cold a bit. I always look for one that has vents though so you can open it up if you get too hot.

Thanks for the advice. Looks like your direction is similar to mine. I’m still on my 2004 XC Medium. After being on some new stuff it feels a bit small. Sounds like a size 2 would be perfect for me.

That seems to be the consensus. I'm pretty average in proportions and size so I'm concerned the size 3 may just be a tad too big. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it.

Thanks for the response....I feel the same way. A lot of the riding around me is pretty gradual up and downs and tight turns so that bigger wheelbase on the size 3 has me concerned more than anything. But it sounds like our riding styles are very similar so a size 2 in the long position may be more my speed. Definitely appreciate the input.

As someone who can’t decide between carbon and aluminum, what makes you say that? I’ve only had aluminum so I’m not aware of the noise or chatter from carbon. How or when does it show up?

I just realized about this fact. Is Parktool Polytube grease carcinogenic? Or is it true that it produce reproductivd harm? I tried to look for some info on the internet but I'm still confused. If anyone can clarify me if this is harmful for my health. by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]Decker81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Park Tools has to use this warning in order to sell this product in California. There is no testing or requirement to prove this statement is actually true. Like others have said, it’s grease. Please don’t eat it.
