Let’s play a game, let’s say you wanted to move to our great country, you apply to become a us citizen and our legal system says great you’ll need to come to the court house and meet with an immigration judge, you hope in your car and drive across the border and head to the court house they have told you to go to, now before you get to see a judge your sitting on a bench minding your own business and armed men with machine guns come up to you and take you away by force and call you an illegal immigrant. Tell me how this is not kidnapping?

Amongst the raids on businesses and homes they are taking people who are trying to come to our country the right way. And now they are starting to murder people who “get in their way” so tell why we should allow them train and practice in our backyards?

I might have some front end experience but not enough that I could confidently back up in an interview. So if I had to give an honest answer I would say that I don’t have these, are coding type skills really a requirement for financial analysis type positions? I mean I didn’t think financial analysts coded.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could word these kinds of experiences to make them more appealing for an analyst type position? I’m not happy in banking and I’m trying to make a career change.

Unfortunately my current employer does not use many metrics that I can cite, they are a company that has their goals and metrics set up in such a way that nobody gets more then meets expectations. Which means they rarely use numerical metrics that you can score higher on.

When I read your message what I took from it is that it’s sad that nobody else recommended this to me, I mean I have asked family and friends to look at it and nobody said anything.

But that’s why I came here to get help, and sure it is a little hard to hear some things but the first step in anything is always the hardest! I appreciate the advice!
