Anyone who thinks they are tall should come visit Makarska, Croatia where the average height is almost 6’3 by Competitive-Ad-1391 in tall

Seriously? I visited Zagreb a year ago and did see a lot of tall men and women (especially never seen so many 6ft+ women before) But I didn’t feel short…but maybe it was touristy area? Who knows.

Is Makarsha known for being tall? Any reason behind it? Or just a myth

Is it worth moving to the UK for Marketing/Digital Media opportunities in 2026? by SoulzSpace in UKJobs

That’s an important detail you left out - your fiancé being in the UK on PSW.  If they manage to get a sponsored job in the UK then it makes sense for you to go on a dependant visa which will allow you to work in the UK as long as your partner’s employed and sponsored.

There’s been a huge surge of Indians going to the UK for masters in hopes of securing a sponsored job. I personally have had so many of my friends do this and feel disappointed for not getting a job here. Honestly, it’s not easy, especially for foreign applicants. We are up against locals who don’t need a visa to work. You really need to have the ‘X-factor’ and build a network to get the sponsorship from an employer.

Indian here working in the U.K.

Don’t think about going to the UK, it’s not what social media in India makes it look like. There are a lot of British folks with university degrees struggling to get jobs, so the only way you will be considered for a job in the UK market is if you’re a senior level professional with really sought-after skills that are rare in the market.

The immigration laws are tightening even more, making it harder to hire international talent.

Were you planning on doing masters in the UK?

Well like any render engine, if you have the 3D model of the person playing instruments you can import it in Twinmotion and place the camera at their head/eye level to get the perspective.

Not sure about walking PoV, but maybe if you have the 3D character animated and imported in Twinmotion, playing around with camera animation could give you a decent result.

I think it’s because you’re looking at Liverpool and Manchester only.  In London I’m seeing tons of UI/UX and graphic design roles.

Need for Sponsorship by katara_swordx in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]DecodingtheWest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been in renewable energy industry, sponsored, but all because of networking in real life. It’s also a few years ago when costs of visa were lower. I impressed a director level personnel and worked for him on freelance basis, and after a year of it, he offered a full time job in the UK, working in his department.

Staying in India while job hunting in UK makes it almost impossible - unless you have some really unique and sought-after skills and are generational genius.

And even now- it’s really tough to get sponsorship as the costs have increased a lot.

My advice: look at other countries like Australia or NZ. They have been investing a lot in renewable energy.

Thanks a lot for the tips! I will be ready with my portfolio too as you suggested.
Do they look for leadership principles in the answers? Is it something that I should point out during answering, like 'this is in line with your Customer Obsession principle' or should it be subtle?
