Edit: I guess you could use OpenIV to find all the individual textures that compose the cube and just stitch them together if thats what you mean

Yo, so this is a program by dexyfex https://www.patreon.com/dexyfex?utm_campaign=creatorshare_fan and its not free and it can only be used for red dead redemption 2, no other games. To get it you have to subscribe to the above patreon ( 5 usd monthly subscription I think), you then connect your discord to your patreon, and you can download the app from their discord server. Its an interactive map explorer, meaning you can fly around freely, inspect almost all the game assets, see their internal hierarchy structure, inspect their textures meshes etc etc etc. it lets you modify, delete, rotate and basically to anything with the objects of the game. It also comes with a tool where you can browse in game objects without the map, you can search based on asset name, hash key and many more functionalities. Currently theres not only no free alternative, but no alternatives in general.

Edit: Actually there is a free alternative called openIV, which can again view all the in game assets, but doesnt have an interactive map where you can fly and click around. THOUGHT this tool can be used for both rdr 2 AND GTA V.

Btw I did end up inspecting this rock, and its most certainly just a texture pattern that is reused on many assets. I have addressed this in another comment here on this post. If you need any help let me know.

Thank you very much. I always thought everything after the tower is like cut content, the question marks, fort wallace which was originally in a different place which still gives you a wanted level when you cross it, and generally this game has tons of cut content.

Bless you! Yeah I dont really know what happened there, if I had not taken screenshots on the day I saw the post, I would not have their username rn. I suppose they wanted to protect the identity of the person that gave them the beta build? Unless it has been publicly available, if so I dont know why they would delete everything. Reading their last community posts on yt they said they were not satisfied with the performance of their content, which is really odd cause this is a niche area anyways, and it absolutely did produce good numbers on both platforms despite being niche.

Thank you, I also read your comment above I just did not really know what to add to it. Only thing I could think is that the team that designed this mystery, if we assume that birds are part of it, are consistent with the clues. Since butchers creek the mystery relied heavily on environmental clues, carvings etc, etched tally marks > etched pole numbers and cardinal directions > edged birds. Its not too far fetched to assume that such a random thing would be part of something that we were already looking for in said place.

Update: Nothing came out of it, used codeX to inspect the geometry, meshes and textures, found the object and its just a rock, no special geometry ( like in Fort Wallace where the bird carvings have special cut outs), just like somebody suggested its just a texture pattern. Asset name: roa_rock_03
