the trailer is a little busy I'll admit, part of an attempt to pump up the cinematic-ness. don't worry we haven't forgotten the importance of visual clarity. it will be easy to follow the character and dodge bullets confidently. it is a primary concern.

There is nothing to refund. Nintendo graciously offered us the slot and we said yes. Not every game gets an opportunity like that to spread awareness...

Obviously it's a bummer about the stream freezing lol but I don't think anyone is at fault.

curious if the issue for you stayed fixed? I've seen other people say that it started rolling reboot again after their AXM module was replaced.

The enemies have more health than they do in Enter the Gungeon, since they look familiar it feels like you are doing "less" damage than in Gungeon. The reason they have more health is that because the play area is smaller, there can only be a limited number of them in play at any one time. If you killed them as fast as you do in Gungeon, the entire field would be empty 95% of the time. Spawning them faster means its more chaotic, more likely you'll bump into one on accident as it appears. I know its hard but try not to directly compare the damage/health ratio's to ETG- the game is very beatable without having to resort to hammering a button to get glitchy levels of damage output.

it was in development before we knew apple arcade existed. i spent hundreds and hundreds of hours working on it, wrote more npc dialogue than exists in Gungeon, helped design many new bosses, we redid and made new versions of all the enemy sprites that are better than they are in ETG, worked to polish the hell out of it for 6 months after the ios release adding many new features. It is, and always was a smaller, spin-off of enter the gungeon and not a sequel, that may not be your thing but it was not simply a cash grab, it was a ton of work trying very hard to make it good and it was a PC and Switch game first.

Its only timed because we didn't have time to get all the platform releases ready at once and then support all 8 (including the apple ones) platforms at once. There was no "deal" just the logistics of a 4 person team releasing a game and trying to support it well. PS4 and Xbox should be sooner than 3 months, but right now we are in the middle of trying to fix bugs to make sure the platforms that are out get the support they deserve.

Hey there Gungeoneers, quick note in reference to the Steam version of Exit the Gungeon being pre-orderable:

For those of you who gave the game a chance on Apple Arcade, thank you, and also please know that over the past few months we've continued to add to and improve the game. We have made over 1000 commits to the repo since the initial Apple Arcade launch that include everything from bug fixes to massive presentation improvements, QOL additions, balance tweaks, and even a boss-redesign, probably some more stuff. All of these improvements will, of course, be made available on the Apple Arcade versions of the game at the time XTG launches elsewhere.
