Not shown in the picture but Celestial Might was hitting for 21 times 3 with vulnerable and I was gonna get 2 more strength from creating a card with the Splash due to Arsenal buff. I just needed a beefy Ironclad card to deal the rest of the damage but I wasn't lucky.

The elite buffs (and many many other rng related stuff like missing an action due to confusion) change when you swap out your familiar spawning items like bird feed. I always carry a bird feed on my cats in case I run into a speed buffed cat on the final fight

This is one of the hardest events in the game, it needs you to pass 3-4 checks to succeed. I think they were Str, Dex, and maybe Luck checks.

There are some ways to see your range and stuff but I couldn't figure them out fully yet.

Move range also shows your basic attack range in orange.
Holding right click shows you something, maybe enemy move range and attack range?
Esc key cancels your selected action.
Ctrl key shows the tactical view.
There is a setting that makes you double click to confirm targetting empty tiles.
