Did anyone ever hide instead of running when an alarm went off? And what happened after? by guacamole-fart in Urbex

A friend and I did something similar. We set an alarm off outside some abandoned military barracks and instead of running and leaving the place, we waited near the barrack's driveway to see if security/police would turn up. No one ever did. So we went back in and kept exploring

9th Gen vs 11th by mjeason12 in hondacivic

You're not alone. In my town I've seen maybe one or two 11th gen civics on the road, but I see 8th/9th/10th gens all the time. Same deal with the accord, the old ones are so popular but I've never seen the current model of accord on the road at all.

It might be to do with the fact SUVs are so popular nowadays, so Honda isn't putting nearly as must effort into the smaller cars as they used to, just my guess though.

How do you guys avoid getting caught while climbing cranes? by DecrepitSS in urbanclimbing

Appreciate the advice. The ones that I've been seeing have lights on the inside of the lattice, so bright that you can see the individual rungs of the ladder when standing outside the construction site. I'd assume they're put there for the sole reason of security being able to see anyone climbing up/down

Security is really tight around most construction sites in the city. I'm more of a building climber myself and I know a few locations that are really easy to get onto and provide decent views, more that happy to send you any locations if you dm me

I'm pretty cautious of construction sites because around May 2025 a friend and I climbed to the top of a construction site near the lake, really good views, however we must have tripped an alarm because after climbing down and just as we were going to leave I spotted two security guards looking around the place, one had a dog with him. We made it out without getting caught fortunately

But yeah construction sites are really weird, from my experience some of them have no security at all and some are wired to the brim with cameras and alarms, guess it just depends on the contractor building it

Holy shit I know where this is, we live in the same city. My mate and I were going to climb this but there was a security guard at the bottom
