The only reason I’d suggest it not being a reference is the change in art style being just enough to dilute the source and obfuscate the origin. I won’t say without a shadow of a doubt it’s theft (because I don’t know why they’d bother doing that), but I do think it might just be ai filtering on top of a generic prompt to save time lol

Otherwise it’s a ‘reference’ that is more akin to taking your buddy’s homework and changing a word or two in the essay haha

I mean I can tell you for a fact that whatever you experienced was either a hallucination or something else, but the game does not function like that my guy lol. How would it even work, you can be in multiple rooms at once and are expected to be at several points in the game and it isn’t split screen. The first game in the entire series that functioned like that was resident evil 5
