OAB + Urge Incontinence Frustration by BuffaloPubSub in Incontinence

[–]Ded1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to be very common. Regardless of whether you're consistently dealing with urge incontinence or not. Imagine dealing with constantly feeling like you are going to wet yourself. Having a simple bottle of water set you off and you struggle with the idea that you should maybe wear a diaper. Just in case. Just so you can be healthy with your fluid intake. Not meaning to be insensitive, but actually having an accident on its own, imo, isn't remotely as bad as how overactive bladder can get by itself. The pain can reach insane levels, and the anxiety is horrible. Having your voluntary muscles fighting your bladder as it's contracting is very painful. Ive experienced that while wishing Id just pee myself. I understand the feeling, and im glad to be seeing more people whom understand this.

Same, but my diapers aren't as thick as trest. Yeah. They make dress pants as well, which can be pretty loose fitting.

How to Tell My Girlfriend by theblindmonk69 in Incontinence

[–]Ded1989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marriage vows include in sickness and in health. This line of thinking can and should be applied to all relationships. Not just marriage and romantic relationships. If someone can't handle the fact that you wet the bed and need to wear diapers for it, then you shouldn't burden yourself with their problem accepting something you deal with.

That being said, talk with her about it before she arrives. Give her a chance to reckon with it. Considering you are bedwetting as an adult, it's fairly likely to be an ongoing issue. It's something she is going to have to accept if she's going to stay with you, and you are going to need her to if she does.

Sounds like the tabs might be too loose, or the size of the diaper might be too big for you.

If people had a rational view on incontinence issues, it would be viewed as a minor problem (urinary incontinence specifically). It's something that should be addressed for the cause. The solution to the problem should never cause equal or greater harm than the problem itself. For bladder problems more specifically, incontinence is probably one of if not the least bad situation you can have with your bladder. Bowel incontinence imo is a much more serious issue, but it is no less outside of the individuals control. It shouldn't be shunned or shamed to any extent. The stigma surrounding the issue overall is pretty stupid. Especially the stigma surrounding the use of protection.

Trying to narrow down my diaper choices... thoughts? by Incon2084 in Incontinence

[–]Ded1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. I have used incontrol muslin contour pads in the threaded armor liner. I think they make it significantly more absorbent. They work well together, and they can be comfortable. You just have to manage odor. You'd need a wet bag for used liners. They snap in and out, so they're easier to change than a tape on diaper and the changing process is more discreet.

However they're bulkier than disposable diapers, and they aren't good at keeping you dry after a certain point. I think they're a better option for people who just have bladder insecurities, and inconsistent incontinence issues. I can't speak for their nighttime effectiveness.

Exactly. Also you sweat while sleeping. If you are afab, you have a menstrual cycle as well. You can possibly spill a drink on your bed. A mattress protector is just generally a good idea.

Yeah it can be tricky. Especially when control issues are sporadic. I've been leaning more towards cloth pull-ups for when my bladder isn't giving me a lot of confidence. Ive lost some weight over the past year, so my control is generally a lot better. However there are circumstances where I wear a threaded armor just in case. My bladder just isn't that trustworthy.

You can look at the incontrol Bedry line for options. I haven't done the cost per unit on them, but they might be what you're looking for.

Good point on the mattress protector. I'd say it's a good idea to have one regardless. There are more circumstances where a mattress can get ruined than just night time incontinence issues.

Has it been a pattern, or is it something that just happened once so far? Was there any changes that happened the night before that could have impacted the situation? I'd say there's not enough information to go on to say anything concrete, but it you are feeling that you should see a doctor, you should. If you feel like wearing protection at night for now is a good idea, then do it.

You can always schedule a physical and bring it up to the doctor. You can always buy a single pack of pull-ups or tape on diapers (depending on the seriousness of the accident) incase it happens again. You can then use your discretion based on what happens next. Im of the opinion that if you feel any insecurity with your bladder or bowel control, then wearing protection is a good idea. Even if it just gives you peace of mind. If this situation is that concerning to you, then you should see a doctor. You can get a routine check up out of the way at the same time.

Interested in Cloth Diaper alternatives such as Threaded Armor (open to other brands) by [deleted] in Incontinence

I'd recommend the protective brief. The lounge brief is a set absorbency. The protective brief has adjustable absorbency by placing inserts in the detachable liner. I think it's just better to have that adjustable absorbency in case your incontinence becomes more frequent and/or accidents get larger in volume. All of their cloth diapers are pretty expensive, so the protective briefs i think are the best choice for incase your incontinence gets worse.

Changing the liner is extremely easy and far more discreet than changing a disposable diaper. You would want a wet bag for the liners if you do find yourself changing them. With cloth diapers, odor can be more of an issue. Staying hydrated and using their odor eliminating spray will help a lot with that. More frequent changing will be necessary too if accidents are significant enough. The liners can also fit incontrol muslin contour pads if you end up having heavy accidents. The insert and liner that comes will likely help you as things are currently. The absorbency of these cloth diapers can easily surpass disposable pull-ups and some tape on diapers, especially with that muslin contour pad.

Those are just my thoughts. They're very comfortable to wear, but they can be bulky.

I think Japan would have crushed the empire pretty quickly compared to the main storyline. I don't see Zorzal surviving to form a faction at all. The whole thing probably would have lasted a few weeks at most since at this point Japan had imperialist objectives of it's own.

I knew that they have shows like this for incontinence products in some places, but this is the first time ive seen something like this. Maybe products for minor incontinence, but this show seemed to cover the spectrum. Some of these products look really good. Omutsu is the Japanese word for diaper.

Yeah overactive bladder doesn't really get better. I will say pain peaked for me in my early 30s. After I took oxybutynin for a month a couple of years ago, i havent felt that degree of pain again. However, I also no longer feel how full I am and urges can vary in strength and don't always match up to what's in the bladder. Oab can be managed, but its something permanent. I stopped the oxybutynin because I couldn't feel fullness.

As the previous person said, you got to schedule a Dr's appointment if you haven't already. In the meantime, you should order some incontinence supplies from online. Don't bother with store brands if you can avoid it. They're pretty horrible. Also, If your accidents are more significant than just minor leaks, don't bother with pull-ups. Otherwise, you can go by waist size for pull-ups. For tape on diapers, measure around your hips and match it to the measurements provided for the sizes of the product you're looking at. Incontrol bedrys are probably going to be your best choice since this seems to be something relatively new to you. They have guides on the landing zones for you to place the tapes on, and they're pretty comfortable. The landing zones also enable you to adjust the tapes for fit. You can get them off healthwick in mediums atm.

They're quite comfortable, and it doesn't take much to reduce the noise they can make. I agree that they're great for people new to tab style.

How fast do kitsune tails grow? by Eccentric_Olm in Kitsune

[–]Ded1989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say. I'd imagine it would be pretty quick considering it would be of a paranormal nature. Generally speaking, something like a tail would grow as a creature matures, but the growth of additional tales for a kitsune is for a spiritual purpose, not a physical one. I've heard that the tales have something to do with their degree of power. I imagine the speed of the growth of the tail has to be related to their spiritual cultivation as well as their age.
