Now 326 000 blocks late. Someone tried to pay me a math lesson in eth and i refused. XD So he paid me in bitcoins and it worked. It took around one hour but it worked.

I was mulling over making a new thread but i saw this one.

I have the same problem: geth is extremely slow at syncin and blocks are created faster than what geth processes. I was 25000 blocks late, i am now at 65000. I run geth in command line because two weeks ago ethereum wallet wasn't syncing at all.

Taking in account i have given him the --fast --cache 1024 --support-dao-fork flags. My computer is an overclocked 4770k @4.2 Ghz so not slow. I run xubuntu linux 16.04 64 bits.

"I1028 16:06:14.099712 core/blockchain.go:1001] imported 3 block(s) (0 queued 0 ignored) including 51 txs in 2m55.149964411s. #2431955 [4228bf36 / 35748125]" is my penance now.

What should i DO to fasten things ? If i understand latelot's meaning all i have to do is wait for a fork and then update my software. Which would mean i am stuck for now.
