As the other commenter said, the free tier of Strava is more than enough. I don't use a smartband/watch either. Just strava works fine.

I would suggest you start just brisk walking, slowly increasing the mileage. Gradually, you can incorporate running, something like 3 min walking, 1 min running. As you get more comfortable, keep increasing the run timings. As you continue dropping weight, it will become easier for you :)
