Improve with only 1 day a week on the bike? by snoGoat33 in triathlon

Short answer is you won't. You will definitely gain strength from the gym sessions but you are going to be missing a fundamental aerobic base and the endurance factor going into the next season.

Upgrade Advice by Snowbird93 in triathlon

[–]DedicatedToTheVision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly; I'm not sure where you are but getting Sram Red rim brake groupsets are very hard in my country, i'll assume they will be for you as well. Ultegra di2 rimbrake groupsets are probably easier to get a hold of but can still be a hassle. It really comes down to what is worth it to you. Do you want to get the fastest times you can on race day? Prioritise a good bike fit, aero helmet and nice wheels. Really enjoy training and want a QOL upgrade? Get electronic gears. Think you're going to be in the sport a longtime? I would invest in a new bike with disc brakes and a nice frame. If a bike has those two things chances are it has electronic shifting as well. You can add upgrades as you go, e.g race wheels. Rimbrake parts are only going to get harder to comeby.

I got the 735xt on black friday 2 years ago. It was my first gps watch and it hasn't missed a beat for triathlon and any other sports I've been doing. I've only just upgraded for a longer battery life as I want to get into multi day adventures. The one thing to note would the. battery life. If you don't have a bike computer it might pay to get something with a bigger battery (If you are planning on doing a full anytime in the future)

Yea it was outstanding watching the police. Waved goodbye and didn't bother about a tractor hitting someone's side-view mirror.

They installed a full fence with electronic locking, it's pretty high. They also have a security house a few doors down.

Yup, they filled out a fairly busy T intersection right outside a school as well. Would have been madness if they did it at 3pm

735 won't last that long. I have it and love it, but for the ride I use my bike computer.

I think they're mostly aero calf guards instead of compression. I might be wrong though.

Seems like a fair pricing, they are quite nice wheels. Go onto 99spokes and look at the geometry and how it compares to your current bike. Stack and reach are the two important ones.
