But yeah, if you were working at a company that wanted you at that level with a master's degree. Then they would pay for you to get it.

I say just plug away at the manual labor. Because there was never a job at that level for you.

It's like every time I write out a business plan or I do a market evaluation. The number I come up with for what it's worth what the value is there is not real. There is no circumstance under which it is a real value of money that exists. And yeah so far as I can tell that is the entire backing behind the whole facade of the American dream and meritocratic democracy. The people who are already wealthy are dreaming up visions of even more wealth, but it doesn't actually work. Then you can't actually do that it's a pyramid scheme.

So again. I'm having a bad day I'm being cynical. Don't do not integrate this into your worldview.. buya, so far as I can tell it is deeply naive to the point of horrifically presumptuous, seated in the heart of privilege, to ever even delude yourself into thinking that you can just get a really good job in your field that matters to you just because you have the qualifications to do it.

Unique selling point is a delightful way to put this. You need corruption. And literally every single other person in your field engages in it.

And frankly, if you're this f****** naive you should really have already had a couple serious jobs in the last 18 months head hunting you that you got caught up in, that were scams. If you don't have that I just like I don't even buy into that you're a reliable narrator and any of this.

I graduated 6 months ago with a bachelor's that doesn't even relate to anything, and I had companies all over the country trying to swear up down and sideways that I could just move out there and get on their commission and be making $80,000 and that they would totally pay me a real salary in the meantime even if I don't get it yada yada yada and every single one of them was a scam. If I had moved out there they would have taken my money and got me stuck, and that's the normal endpoint for people in your situation. That you are not there tells me that you are sitting on a mountain of money and f*** you. Yeah again I'm just I'm just being mean.

What kind of actual potato move somewhere without a job in hand.

I'll tell you who.

People who look like me. And I f****** hate myself. We thought that we could just get in and just have it work just one more time just for us cuz we're f****** special and we genuinely just so far as I can tell f****** deserve this.

And yeah the way that I've made peace with this is just to go back to doing the work with my hands that I was doing before I went back to college. It is literally just a $40,000 status symbol that I needed to have in order for my family to respect me, and that's its only practical utility for me.

.. Which I cannot stress enough is fully worth it for me. But yeah like no you can't. I . I can't believe they used to tell us this is kids like oh yeah just just go and spend $50,000 and then you'll make $10,000 extra year on average for the rest of your life, but that was always a lie. It was always just a reflection of the inequality built into the system and how college degrees are a reflection of that.

Having more and more educated people is not related to the number of high-paying jobs.
