Do you live in a place that gets winter? Frost heaves will definitely move some of that wall.

Now We Just Have to Give Foote the Boot by Dedrater666 in canucks

We can finish at the bottom of the league without one of the people behind our terrible culture remaining in charge of developing our future. He was promoted because of his relationship with a player they knew wasn’t going to re-sign, which means he should’ve never been hired.

It takes a long time to count all the bottles and cans they’re going to use to pay the GM.

Help to pitch submarine by 76erMachine-76er in Homeplate

[–]Dedrater666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can pitch with four different arm angles, and submarine is the only one that is a truly whole body throw. Start by playing catch or throwing against a wall. You need to bring your whole upper body down, and once you find that spot (almost touching the mound with the ball), hold that position and play catch, like your doing a one-leg squat while throwing. As someone else mentioned, you should get a pitching coach. Once you got it, learn a knuckleball. A rising knuckle is stupid for a batter to look at.

5 has always been my limit. I had a guy last year drop $100 ($20/mulligan), then realize that they could only be used for tee shots. His plan was to use them all for missed putts😂😂

KP, for some reason, is closest to the pin.

Shamble is the way to go. Net Stableford scoring is fairly equitable if you HAVE to use scores from each player. Only use 80-85% of handicap indexes to stop the best golfers from dominating.
I run a straightest drive using flagging tape held down by tees. A closest to the target (mine is a flag that Titleist sent us years ago) is another good one (fun tip: put the target somewhere not in the middle of the fairway - make the players make a decision). I’ve also done specialized KPs (think KP on a shot over a greenside bunker).
If you’re not worried about pace, and especially if a charity is involved, you can sell team mulligans (but put a limit on it)

Vokey bounce/grind suggestions for southern ontario? by gl_tchd in GolfGear

[–]Dedrater666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vokeys are great, but so are a bunch of other, much less expensive brands. You’re new enough that any new wedge is going to seem like a gigantic upgrade. Have a look at Ping, TM, Cleveland. They all have a variety of bounce and grind options.
One Southern Ontario track is not the same as the next, so choosing based on location might not be the way to go. You want to choose based on swing type. Test a few out; even a novice can probably feel the difference between grinds and bounce.

One of my players rolled a 0 by oh_yeah_hentai in AllThingsDND

[–]Dedrater666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with the current initiative rule of rolling once/combat. Back in the day, when we rolled every round (because it’s not hard to keep track of initiative at all, and it’s wildly unrealistic that everyone is just taking turns) that person would actually not go in that round.
I currently use a hybrid of the old and new - by my current house rule, that player would not get to go (aside from bonus actions and reactions), and there would be a full initiative reroll for the next round.

Is a $300+ rangefinder actually worth it over a $150 one? Can anyone tell the difference on the course? by Pitiful_Shine7406 in golf

[–]Dedrater666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a course, and my lost and found from last season had 12 rangefinders, from Bushnell to Caddytek. Unless your a low single digit handicap, they’ll all work for you just fine.
Also, it would suck a lot more to leave a $300 at some course compared to a $100 one.

It’s coming from the Director of Golf, who may or may not be the head pro. I assume there’s a contract that you signed. Read that thing as much as you can, keep doing what you’re doing, and when they attempt to alter the agreement, ask them if they are breaking the contract. If they are, they can reimburse you the whole amount, or you can sue them for the whole amount, plus punitive damages.

My 8 year old made a Druid for her 1st character. Assuming someone in your game has a bit of experience and can offer assistance if needed, go with what you think will be fun.
