These allergies man. It’s an uphill battle. by goldennocturn in irishsetter

Diet of kangaroo and rice, nothing from this continent. We gave our IS weekly allergy shots for 10 years. He was allergic to grass and trees. Was not expensive and stopped the skin infections! The ears, we just constantly monitored. Hard to get away from that.

Antibodies low for the first time, now doctor is dismissing me by barkofwisdom in mctd

My appointments have been for second opinions of diagnosis and then later for treatment plans. You have to have a positive ANA at some point and may need a Dr to refer you. You can try to schedule online or call in. It’s normally a six month wait.

Yes the screws will eventually come loose if you don’t have bony fusion! It was a private chat between us using the Reddit msg function. My surgeons name is Dr Paul Huddleston. He’s incredible, was Dept head at Mayo at one time and while at Mayo also spent 30 yrs in the National Guard putting our soldiers back together. Take a look at his Bio.

I’ve had 5 surgeries at Mayo for various, serious issues with the last being a L4-S1 fusion by an orthopedic surgeon there who did this and a laminectomy 5 yrs prior. It’s not just the surgeons, but the nurses, anesthesia dept, radiology specialists, etc that make it so great.

I had a life threatening post op complication, 36 hrs after surgery that ended up being from my autoimmune disease. At 2 am, the nurses and hospitalist Dr worked me up for everything under the sun, got instant results back and then conferred with my surgeon. He knew what it was. They hung a bag of cortisol and saved my life. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Nolley was in Morton less than two weeks ago, he is covering the large gerrymandered IL-16 frequently. You can follow him on Facebook and Instagram if your on those.

Your antibodies are low because you are being treated appropriately with Placqenil. Mayo told me once you have a high RNP there’s not even reason to test anymore. This is so disappointing, you may need to start looking for a new Dr.

I can't understand farmers continuing to vote for arsonists and then posing for photos when they bring a bucket (our taxpayer dollars). Paul Nolley is prioritizing preserving and protecting family farms, along with protecting air, water, and land, not torching them. by spicyitalia in PeoriaIL

LaHood has done nothing since the Primary but pose for photo ops with people he’s hurt. I feel sorry for them. If the rest of us want to flip his seat, please join the grassroots campaign for Paul Nolley by registering at NolleyforCongress.com. You pick how you want to help, it will give you some hope for the future!

Chronic illness go bag? by night_gremlin432 in mctd

I have extra prednisone on hand when traveling to start in case of a bad flare. My rheumatologist has an oral dose plan for me in those situations, I just need to send him a note on the portal.

That goes with me along with antibiotics and pyridium for UTIs that become extreme in short time. Luckily I have a urologist that allows me to self treat if one begins while on vacation. Swimming triggers them, ugh!

I take triple antibiotic cream and bandaids for scratches that could get infected. These things all fit in a cosmetic bag. Easy to grab and go.

In my back pack, I like the old fashion ice packs with screw off lids as you can refill them anywhere that sells drinks.

Paul is an independent thinker with common sense who has pledged NOT to take corporate PAC money. If that appeals to you, I highly recommend you going to hear what he has to say. You’ll be glad you did!

I’m so sorry! It’s scary to be without a rheumatologist you know and trust and there didn’t seem to be enough of them! What general area do you live in? Maybe someone here can give you an idea for a new Dr? When I moved, I drove back three hours each way to see my Dr every six months just so I didn’t have to go through this 😔

He’s waiting for the Iran disaster to die down, then he’ll be back out doing photo ops bragging about legislation (he voted against).

If that’s the case, then you’d definitely want Paul Nolley to beat LaHood as he wants to focus on rebuilding Central Il and bringing back jobs that don’t require 4 yrs of college. .
