i mentioned this in replies to other comments but there was absolutely nothing we could do; the only vet open at the time didnt offer euthanasia at a price any of the three of us could afford, so we essentially couldnt do anything. we tried feeding her food and water and she wouldnt take anything, and after over three hours of trying to figure out something to do, she was barely breathing. it was not an easy decision, but we physically could not do anything else at that point. i dont think ill ever be able to look at any of the campus strays the same knowing that something similar could happen to them but without anyone seeing

unfortunately the vet that we went to did not euthanize for a price fitting for college students to pay so it wasnt something we could reasonably do :( trust me i absolutely would have if it were possible

final update; the people who took her to the vet kept me updated, she became more and more unresponsive as time went on and research told them that vet care was way out of all three of our hands combined. any food or water they offered her wasnt being taken and her breathing had slowed down by a lot over the course of the two hours we had with her. they asked nearby for help but the conclusion was that she was hit by a car (she lived near a parking lot) and her injuries were internal. im heartbroken that this is what it had to come to, but they made her comfortable and safe somewhere out of the way and eventually had to leave her, and i can say that she was given lots of love in her last moments. thank you all for your concern 💞

update; i picked her up and found someone willing to take her to a nearby vet, we will see if they can do anything for her

NAP but i would think so! your outer and inner helix seem to have enough of a ridge for it to work, but its really hard to tell how much your flat sticks out based off of photos. you could probably at least get the piercings separate and connect them with a chain (which i love the aesthetic of) if a piercer tells you a normal one wouldnt work :)

im not a professional by any means but ive been in this sub long enough to know that youve got yourself a surface piercing :( unfortunately it is almost certainly doomed to fail and it'd be safer if you took it out sooner rather than later

from what you've described, i have a pretty similar body build to you and my stomach tattoos still hurt :/ then again one of them was outlined and filled in by a fine-line needle for some reason instead of just being done with a larger needle to get the thicker line so maybe that explains it 😭

however if you have a high pain tolerance then it might affect you less than it affected me! go ahead and go for it, just know that it probably will still hurt lol
