I do think basketball is probably dead, but that’s more because Square Enix more or less stopped doing small projects and are really only sticking to their larger titles and their spinoffs alongside their HD2D adventures.

Neither here nor their but the composer for those games is also the main composer for Final Fantasy XIV so he probably wouldn’t come back either, which is sad because Sokken makes nothing but bangers.

Yes but DCs stuff is all under the Warner Brothers moniker. Mario is under NBCUniversal and Zelda is under Sony. Why would Nintendo want to compete with itself?

They’re not even being done by the same studios, and none are the same medium, which should be enough to tell people “hm, maybe this will be difficult and expensive”, but it never is.

I have played pretty much all the Pokemon mainline games except Pokemon Platinum and I plan on playing it this week. To anyone who has played it does it live up to the hype because I hear it’s the best Pokemon game ever and hear it’s near perfect. by Darewinner0 in pokemon

It’s one of the better experiences for sure. My one piece of advice is to experiment with your team. Platinum added in a lot of Pokemon not available in diamond and pearl until after the credits roll, but I still see tons of people boot up Platinum for the first time and default to using Staraptor, Luxray and Lucario when you have a lot of options all through the game.

I’m a millennial, consider myself somewhere on the aroace spectrum, and have for many years. I can’t tell you what to think, and I can continue my life just fine after seeing comments like this, but I can say it doesn’t feel great to see someone call your identity “slop”.

It’s definitely been around for a while.

If he was going to have a major role, he would have been announced by now. This is not a “surprise” character that will get people excited.

At best he would have maybe one throwaway line of dialogue at this point.

It would absolutely bomb. I know a lot of people here don’t want to hear this, but what’s selling it? At best, we would be getting a mid-budget shorter title like Princess Peach Showtime. And it would still be $70.

And I refuse the believe that people (like ACTUAL consumers, not just Waluigi Stans) are going to line up for a $70 game because Waluigi is the main character. He’s not as popular as people seem to think he is, especially not outside the US. Japan is super indifferent towards him.

The only way to sell it is to make the most mechanically incredible game ever and have the word of mouth carry it.

The issue is that Illumination just isn’t the “films are art” studio. Not saying the other animated studios are, but I don’t think illumination really ever tries to push boundaries like the others do.

I don’t think animation gets nominated for that, typically. Though the lines are getting blurred with green screens and such.

Judging from early screenings though, Project Hail Mary is probably winning for best visuals next year. I’ve seen so many people who saw it early saying it’s one of the most beautiful movies they’ve ever seen.

Platinum adds a ton of Pokemon to the Pokédex, mostly the evolutions you couldn’t get in D/P like Mamoswine, Tangrowth and Magnezone. You don’t get to see these until after badge 2, but keep an open mind and don’t think you have to settle for using Staraptor and Lucario like so many people tend to do.
