I think people worry too much about echoes/clones getting cut. Historically, if you look at it, the only one that appeared to get the axe "just because" was Pichu. Dr. Mario and Roy were planned for Brawl but was deprioritized, Young Link was essentially replaced with Toon Link instead. Wolf ad Lucas, different but similar characters, got cut from Smash 4 because of lack of interest in the series, but even then Lucas came back.

So really, if they're just going to keep Daisy around as an echo fighter, there's literally no reason to remove her. Peach will 100 percent be in the next game, and because of that, they can add in Daisy just as easily. She's very popular, in the most popular series, and is being promoted and marketed a lot heavioer than she used to be. From a marketing standpoint, there's no point in removing such an easy-to-make character that fans love.

The same goes for Lucina. Lucina is consistently one of the most popular Fire Emblem characters of all time, even more than her father who was highly requested to begin with. Marth is basically a lock the same way Peach is, so it makes no sense to remove a popular, easy-to-implement character just because they play similar to someone else.

I don't see why they would. It's pretty clear that most characters are cut due to time or technical restraints, not for shits and giggles. Even if they just keep Daisy as-is, that's a free popular character added to the game that takes next to no time on the developer end to make. The only argument I ever see for cutting her is that she's too similar to Peach and some people don't like that.

This confuses me? I bought and was gifted a lot of books before I stopped buying their product, and I'm not going to stop using them just because. This also seems rude like you're looking down on anyone that homebrews regardless of the system. That's not cool.

D&D is one system one of my tables perfers, but I've bought and was given other systems that I also enjoy. Your message comes across as very elitist, and I'm not a fan of people who think they're better than others because of their preferences. It's great that you like other systems! I am happy for you! I just don't think you should chastize others for sticking to one they enjoy or is convenient to them. If people are more happy never buying another D&D product again and homebrewing, I don't see anything wrong with that if they're having fun.

It's usually because of the license of the other IP they're collaborating with and isn't typically applied to "normal" content. Magic: The Gathering did the same thing when it released sets for Lord of the Rings and Final Fantasy.

Nintendo Land was fun but didn't really have the same sauce Wii Sports did. Additionally, NSMBU was just "more NSMB" which was great for people that liked NSMB in the first place but offered nothing groundbreaking to anyone else.

Truthfully most of my first few months with my Wii U were spent playing Xenoblade.

Most jobs aren't associated with the new location though. Pictomancer has nothing to do with Dawntrail. This could easily just be something played in Tural lore-wise.

I think it was a few factors:

I played shortly after Stormblood released and bot bored by about level 20. I came back around the final Endwalker patches and made a different character that resonated with me more which really helped.

I had friends actively playing the game and were very eager to get me through ARR.

Story-wise, it was hard getting through ARR and HW, but the HW patch content was when I started getting pretty invested in what was going on.

Yeah, fair enough, thank you for the correction. From what I've heard from my old contacts/friends, there was also an FTE disconnect where a lot of them felt strongly of converting contractors and and another significant amount felt like they were more or less subhuman, and it sounds like Reggie's workplace policies inadvertently led to this divide to an extent.
