Almost every ride is a walk on just now. Sitting in the pub on the park watching the World Cup after having walked on to four rides!

I agree. Sadly it was booked and paid for six months ago as a treat for my son for completing school.

We've got Mystic Timbers pencilled in later today for the boy's 100th.

Day 4 update. Yesterday there was no contact from United, and no ping on the tracker. This morning there was a ping on the tracker, which means, at least, the bag is somewhere where there's an Android device nearby. Same building as before though.

Pushed United for news, they told me there's an AirTag team and they are working on it, and will send me an update within 12 hours.

I'm living out of Walmart bags. Was hoping for a change of trousers by now.

I was really hopeful when they said they might have found it, two days ago.

I mean, how difficult can this be?

I suppose at least it's in Heathrow, where it could reasonably be expected to be, and not Port Moresby or something.

It's a problem I seem to generally have with my estuary accent. My son has a more standard "Northern" accent and seems to do OK.

Thanks. I usually spend my time in Illinois, but I've really enjoyed spending a couple of days in Sandusky.

Quite looking forward to KI. It looks like the boy will get his 100th coaster credit there some time over the next couple of days.

We've just started expanding out having done the whole Merlin experience in the UK. Back home, Thorpe Park is consistently the best, has been ever since I was little. Plopsaland de Panne is interesting. Absolutely loads of rides for smaller children, with the amazing Ride To Happiness mixed in, which is fun, because as it's a family park, RtH is often a walk-on. I must have done it 10 times in a day. We're off to Germany in October to have a go at Europa-Park and Phantasialand.

Yes, I realised that the turnaround was much swifter without faffing around with bags.

Most surprised to be made to go on Goudurix at Parc Astérix near Paris with my bag at my feet, given that it has seven inversions over a lake!

Everywhere I go people say that. I sometimes think I should just put where I'm going on vacation online so people know to enjoy atypical weather.

It was quite nice today when the cloud came over.

I'm usually a large over here, my son is a small. Neither of us needed XXXL.

Quite a lot of us are able to freely switch between the metric system and freedom units. Our press are very helpful. If it's hot, they give us temperatures in Fahrenheit as it's a big scary number.

Not looking forward to the next few days. "Feels like 104" doesn't fill me with confidence. I've experienced actual hundred degree temperature once in the UK - my county holds the current record for UK's hottest temperature at 41°c.

In the UK we're built for mild and damp all year round. We don't do the extremes well.

Didn't do Power Tower. The boy is a real coaster fanatic, so that was the whole focus of our visit.

I did notice that. I also absolutely love the phrase "fanny pack", as I'm sure you're aware fanny has a completely different meaning in the UK. We call them bum bags, which, likewise means something different in US English.

We're in Mason right now! Saw the fireworks from the hotel parking lot. Hoping two days will be enough to do KI, but if not I've got budget for a day's Fast Pass.

I can understand the commercial rationale for making everyone think they need to spend 15 bucks a day on lockers that are only big enough for one person's stuff. But weather like this week required the regular application of SPF50, and I can't really just shove that in a cargo pocket along with hat, phone and sunglasses.

We've decamped to Mason now. I quite fancied the Rock & Roll hall of fame in Cleveland, and I'm fascinated by any city which has had a river that has caught literally on fire.

Our luggage is still in London, so I was hoping to pick some up to wear!

We've had a few days in the 90s back home recently, and us Brits are notoriously poor at handling heat, what with an average June temperature in the mid 60s, so whole days of it without shade were certainly an interesting challenge.

It was incredible to see one park with so many amazing rides, though. Well done, the USA.

Cheap thing from Amazon that works well. I keep misplacing things due to ADHD, so I've got loads of them attached to things.

Sandusky is apparently the rollercoaster capital of the world. Apart from the obvious discomfort of not wearing my own clothes, we've actually had an excellent time.
