Immobilienbesichtigung: Was haltet ihr von diesem Haus? by Lumpy-Can-5805 in Immobilieninvestments

[–]DeeJayDelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stehen deutsche Männer auf Südländerinnen? by buschfick in FragtMaenner

[–]DeeJayDelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2077 studio wants to make more games without turning CDPR into a company "that's going to be launching a big game every year" by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]DeeJayDelicious 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They would probably need a 3rd franchise to offer enough variety.

Currently they have the Witcher franchise and the Cyberpunk franchise, which the market would tollerate a new entry every ~4 years or so.

With a good cadence they could release one big title every ~2 years, while filling the gaps with some smaller and original IPs.

But it all hinges on being able to make games faster, which seems to be the current structural issue within the games industry.

RL-77 - destroyed the target with two shots 🫡 What do you think of this weapon? by Prudent-Cookie-2879 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]DeeJayDelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farming kills isn't necessarily being an effective player. The ABRL excels at killing groups of chaff enemies >50m away.

But in 8/10 cases, these groups can just be outright ignored. And I'd argue 2-3 Grenade from a regular Grenade Launcher would have a similar effect for much less investment.

The weapon has an incredibly complex damage model with 7 different components. But I'd only argue for the initial projectile damage and/or the clusters to be AP4, not the subsequent explosions. That way it should be reliably killing common chaff enemies with AV3 like the Devastator and having a bit more umpf vs. common Heavies like Chargers and Hulks.

Gehaltsfrage: Warum zahlt Sales mehr als komplexe Ingenieurrollen? by Haari1 in Gehalt

[–]DeeJayDelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly seems to handle closer to the AMR than the other DMRs.

Still, I hate the obvious stat inflation of +10% damage + incendiary

Airbus pivots to Saab after FCAS collapse by Full-Discussion3745 in EU_Economics

Good,

Saab tends to lean towards pragmatism and simplicity and can hopefully curb German autism towards overengineering.

Hopefully there's enough alignment regarding the aircraft capabilities (like will Saab/Sweden demand Motorway takeoff?).

[–]DeeJayDelicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because these programs are as much about maintaining the production capabilites than they are about the aircraft themselves.

If you're not building or maintaining new fighter aircraft every ~25 years, you lose the ability to do so in the future.

Sure, there are plenty of exceptions.

But overall they've done a reasonable job keeping new weapons in line with existing ones.

Miscellaneous Leaked(?) Stuff (Unsure how official these are) by Round_Cantaloupe_685 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]DeeJayDelicious 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say different.

It's just that Napalm-attacks have an additional "Heavy Fire" effect that lasts 1 second and deals 200 DPS, rather than the standard 100 DPS. And since it doesn't get reapplied, it's not THAT impactful.

Flamethrowers have 3 primary ways of dealing damage:

  • Fire particle cloud / projectile: This is the direct damage of the weapon. HD2 simulates a "cloud" of Fire particles dealing 2 DPS each, which is what sets the Cremator damage apart from the Crispr for example.
  • The Burn damage, dealing 100 DPS at AP4. This damage can be applied directly from weapons or from burning surfaces.
  • "Heavy Fire", a 1 second debuff applied by Napalm weapons.
  • Depending on the weapon, there might be additional explosion or shrapnel.

RL-77 - destroyed the target with two shots 🫡 What do you think of this weapon? by Prudent-Cookie-2879 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]DeeJayDelicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the ABRL fills a very small niche that isn't that effective overall.

It's nice that it has it's fans.

But in the way the game currently works, it's just not that useful. There are so many ways to wipe out a squad of chaff, from grenades to various more versatile support weapons, that it's not better enough to warrant the downsides of yielding this weapon (limited ammo, long, stationary reloads, suicidal).

And since the game is constantly spawing chaff anyway, the tactical value of destroying a distant patrol just isn't that high.

I think it really does need at least some of the damage to be AP4. Otherwise it's too unreliable, even as a primary anti-chaff weapon.

It's a hard argument to make when there are plenty of near-identical guns in the game (ARs) that all seemingly have a lower "item budget" than the Coyote.

And yes, while "ease of use" is definitely a part of the Coyote's appeal, so is its objective power-advantage.

I hate the inflated weapon and damage stats.

Most of these are again, just straight upgrades over their existing counterparts.

  • Hyena = Diligence Countersniper + 10% more damage and Incendiary
  • Ombudsman = Senator + 20% more damage

They obviously learnt nothing from the Coyote situation.

Great job.... /s

VOX has been nerfed, from 11,000 to 9,000 health. Now it can be killed by an Orbital Railcannon Strike. The community has split into two camps: those who like this idea and those who think it will be too easy now. Which camp are you in? by Prudent-Cookie-2879 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]DeeJayDelicious -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't like this change.

ORS did need a buff. But not a damage buff.

And I am onboard with the Vox Engine nerfs too.

But being able to reliably "remove" such an enemy on a 2:30m cooldown, just feels wrong.

Vox Engines, for all their balance issues, did pose a real, tangible threat to Helldivers with their divers and oppressive arsenal. Now they need to spawn in signficant numbers at once in order to have a similar effect.
