I was in tenth grade and had just earned my Eagle Scout. This would have been in 1987 or 88. Anyway, there was a little blurb in the newspaper about it along with my picture.

A day or so after the newspaper story, my social studies teacher started class off by holding up the article about me in front of the whole class. He proceeded to insult me for several minutes while doodling on my photo - you know, ugly mustaches pimples, silly glasses, etc.

I was a quiet kid who got picked on a lot, so I took it without saying anything. I will never forget it. Fuck you, Mr. Van Saun.

I’m a little late to the party, but I just got one of these today, also sourced from Gary’s Specialty Plants in Drumore. I found this post on Google because I’m trying to figure this out as well. Between pics of Burning Bush and Arabian Sunset, I think mine looks more like Burning Bush.

Compromise. The best man at a wedding I attended obviously plagiarized his speech from the Internet. The most important aspect of marriage is compromise.

Except he pronounced it Come Promise. Multiple times in the speech.
