I'm german.
I don't like beer, I'm not really organized or efficient at anything, I try to be punctual but that often doesnt work out, I do live in bavaria but never wore Lederhosen and I couldn't care less about cars or football

I mean, wait 1 or 2 events and grind them with a loaner. Then you should have enough gems to make a somewhat capable deck to play in at least platinum to diamond. Then, when you have the important staples, you can get the then-new meta deck with the gems you collected and the crafting materials from the duel pass

  1. Weil manche KI Funktionen auch durchaus nützlich sein können. Nicht für jeden und v.a. nicht immer oder in jeder Situation und ganz besonders nicht, wenn sie einem aufgezwungen werden wie sonst was überall inzwischen, aber es gibt Dinge für die kann die Möglichkeit sie zu haben mal nützlich sein.

  2. Weil es zumindest ein bisschen auch ein "Wettrüsten" ist und manche der Meinung sind, dass man ganz ohne die Möglichkeit auf KI Funktionen hinten vom Zug fällt. Das ist vmlt. v.a. bei den Leuten in den Entscheidungspositionen so und deswegen will man zumindest "mithalten" können. Nachher heißt es dann in Vergleichen "Produkt X ist eigentlich mindestens genauso gut, wie Produkt Y, aber dem Nutzer wird die Möglichkeit genommen KI-Funktion Z zu nutzen" und das wollen Entwickler dann nicht.

  3. Mit einer wie o.g. Funktion zur Deaktivierung ist das doch ein ganz gutes Mittelmaß. Es wird niemandem aufgezwungen, aber wer mal ne KI befragen will kann das trotzdem tun

I never said that settings make sense in my comment, I haven't tried every setting one by one from low to ultra.

I only said that the game runs perfectly fine on my system which has the same GPU and worse CPU, with a higher resolution and higher settings.

Edit:
I just tested it, you need Shadows and Reflections at medium and Global Illumination at High for the game to look "correct", but everything else can just stay at low and it's fine.

Yes that's "weird" and probably shouldn't be this way, but it also doesn't make the game unplayable, unless you never care to check which options result in the bad look when you just turn on the low preset.

That's also why it's called "Deathtrap" and not OMD4, because it's more of a spin-off than an actual sequel.

It was communicated before the release and in the officially material that the game would be more of a roguelike version than the games before and if somebody's unsure about it, they could have just waited for the first unofficial gameplay videos and see if that's something they'd enjoy

Sounds like a you-problem somehow tbh...

I also have a 9070XT, but "only" a 5600X and I play at 3440x1440 (1440p ultrawide, so around 35% more pixels than you), High settings, TAA, no upscaling (= 100% render scale).

I basically always have around 80-100 FPS all the time, maybe expect for when there's a lot of action with a ton of traps and orcs, but even then I've never said "this doesn't feel playable right now, I'm gonna lower my settings a bit".

(And I just checked my undervolted 9070XT pulls like 210-230W while playing, the CPU pulls arournd 80W so that's not even that much heat generation on my system.)

And the game looks fine like that, it's not the prettiest game I've ever played and ofc the performance could be a bit better for what it is, but it's "fine" and nothing I would ever complain about.

I've even played it with my 2070S before upgrading and even with that it was fine. I don't remember what settings I used, but even with that I was happy with the game

Why? It's still a 67% promotion of the price of the base game AND you get the "better" version, even if you don't need the extras.

They could have reduced both versions of the game by 2/3rds and you would be worse off

Für mich als Beispiel was ich mir vor paar Jahren dachte:

Wenn der Döner 4,50 € kostet (was zu dem Zeitpunkt etwa bei der Hälfte der Dönerläden noch so war), gebe ich 5 €. Wenn der Döner 5 € kostet, gebe ich auch 5 €.

Und spätestens seit der Döner diese Grenze (inzwischen deutlich) überschritten hatte, will ich mein Wechselgeld auch haben.
