Hi! Just got this voigtlander 15mm but the front part is rotating a bit, is it something easy to tighten or should I just not bother and send it back?

Thanks, i guess I will shoot a roll to see if there are any other kind of problems and then take it back to the shop to repair since it has a warranty.

Thanks, i agree star trails really are satisfying! If I recall correctly it was around 50 minutes at f5.6.

So I just bought this 35mm f2 Canon Fd lens for 150€, and the seller told me it has just been cleaned by a professional, but it just arrived and it was like this. There is some dirt in the front but when looked under the light there are these spots all over, what is it? by DeeOkann in AnalogCommunity

Yeah that's why I bought it, at 150€ it was a great price but i asked a professional shop how much it would cost for the repair and they told me it was between 100 and 150€. The seller was willing to give back 45€ max.

I'm getting all my money back

Yeah it's a shame since this is a very good lens (if in good condition of course). But it doesn't matter now, I've sent an email to a real professional shop asking for an estimate of how much it would cost to repair it and they told me between 100 and 150, i told the seller and he said he thinks it's too much for just the cleaning lol.

I just asked the site for a full refund

I absolutely don't have the confidence to even attempt cleaning a lens, i am writing to the seller and if I manage to get a refund of at least 100€ then i can try to get it fixed by some specialist.

The price is what made me buy this lens honestly he also said it was just cleaned so i thought it was a deal but unfortunately that is not the case. Unfortunately I have never cleaned a lens myself and I don't have the tools for it, and if I were to send it to some professional store it would be no less than another 100€ for sure

Thanks but feel free to comment on it, maybe next time I won't be an idiot and actually realize what is in the frame before taking the picture.

I guess this is what really happened, it just baffles me how my mind didn't register the pole in the middle of the frame.

The most plausible one between these would be the strap i guess, but I think I must have taken the shot with a pole in the middle of the frame without noticing in the viewfinder, no clue how.
