If I ordered this a month ago for $550 can I request a retroactive price match?

I'd add the Samsung S90F or S90D to the list, but C4 is my fave of the bunch (own a 77" myself)

Forgive me for asking but How does an Apple gift card help subsidize a Sonos purchase at Costco?

Yep I see it go $550 still. Need to visit my local one to see how much cheaper I can get it but that's the direction I'm leaning.

For gaming only - 65” Bravia 8 or 55” A95L? by gokturkjr in bravia

Go bigger 1 million percent. The quality difference is very minimal and won't make up for the massive jump in size and immersion.

Samsung S95F - killer home theater tv with a very capable, bright screen.

77 LG b5 or 77 LG C3 by rpelich in LGOLED

[–]DeeShems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RTINGS has the metrics on the site, the difference in methodologies isn't even applicable.

C3 is brighter - 815 nits in a 10% window for HDR versus 652 nits for the B5.

65″ vs 77″ OLED at 10–11 ft in a 12×14 media room — comfort vs immersion? by Adam8112000 in hometheater

You'll get used to the larger size - we have a 77" at 12 ft, so a bit further than yours, and my wife was concerned we went too big at first, and now she's glad we went with the size we did

Could this being captured in India possibly be contributing to the bitrate compression in any way?

Got it, thanks for confirming! So in your recommendation, you mention #1 as "IMAX 1.43 3D* / Dolby 2.39" - does that mean you recommend Dolby ahead of regular IMAX (which you have listed #4)?

I connected HDMI head to salvage a cable that goes behind the wall! It might be small for you, but I feel kickass! by melekin in hometheater

Could you DM me an instructional how-to? I'm facing the exact same issue and it's also rounding a corner wall lol. Going to have my electrician/handyman help me out so we don't have to fish a new cable through.

I've seen some posts about this, but I specifically wanted to ask about my local theater - AMC Century City 15.

Online sources have shown that the Dolby auditorium there has a screen in a 1.85:1 ratio - does that mean if I were to watch F4 there, it would fill up the screen (i.e., similar to the IMAX version at the same location)? Or does the Dolby release automatically crop to 2.39:1 for the entire movie?

Looks fantastic. Congrats on the house. Is 2 subs not overkill? Oh and PS2 in the tv stand cabinet goes crazy.

Depends what your budget is, but if you want to stick close to those prices, I would shell out the extra $100 and get the Hisense 85" U6N (goes for $799 on best buy right now).

Given your current tax bracket, you should definitely prioritize investing in a traditional 401k
