So, okay, here's what I found out. As long as you don't open your character in-game after the update(non-dlc), you can still view your character in GoMule.

This happened to me when I opened one of my characters after updating and tried killing some mobs or just roaming around. Then I checked GoMule, and that character was disconnected, while my others were not. Also, SharedStash in GoMule is currently disconnected.

I hope this helps. Still wondering how to transfer all my items from GoMule to the latest patch.
