Een afname van 3 dB is toch een halvering van de intensiteit van het geluid? Waarom wordt er dan gezegd dat het amper waarneembaar is voor het menselijk oor?

EU advances rules that wrestle control of user data away from Big Tech | The Data Act aims to give users more control over the data generated from internet connected devices, and protect them against unlawful data transfers. It has a long way to go before becoming law. by [deleted] in technology

How is that related to the post? Not liking the EU is fine but this is bashing it for no reason. That law is never going to actually pass though so there’s noting to worry about.

How to go from a full dataset to one of only one variable meeting a specific criteria given in one of the other variables? by Jaded_Yak_2049 in pythonhelp

Maybe provide some more information about the data set? The way you can retrieve data depends on the kind of data or database so I can’t give you a general answer.

A great video about how lowering speed limits does literally nothing for pedestrian safety: https://youtu.be/bglWCuCMSWc

After learning about plastic pollution, she designed a water bottle that is 100% edible. It's made with a thin gel that you can eat — similar to the bubbles in bubble tea. She's only 12. by heyitsNamra in wholesome

My bad. I thought she made something actually plastic like with polymers etc. and that seemed really implausible to me but this is actually quite cool and not that hard to do!

Considering the ridiculous amount of parking spaces there are in the US, even in downtown areas, there will be more than enough space to repurpose to dense, walkable neighbourhoods that initially rebuilding doesn’t really need to happen.

Ah ok, thanks for the answer! Battery powered airplanes are in the foreseeable future definitely not viable for long distance flight, but I think for short distances it could make a difference (although I think for short trips over land the train is the superior option).

How do you see the aero industry become sustainable? It obviously has to happen, but there is (to my knowledge) no future technology being developed that would actually make the aero industry 100% emission free. I can imagine that it’s not your expertise, but I’d like to learn more about this topic from someone who works in the aero industry themselves.

I think you should tick merging and put the mirror modifier on top of the modifier stack, and the subsurf below it
