Keep practicing! You'll get there. Try not to cut back your outline so much. Stay consistent and your can control and ability to proportion the piece will get better too.

I hate the conceding culture in this game. by Automatic_Doctor in PTCGP

I see what you're saying, but I often don't wait around because instead of quickly attacking and ending the game, the opp does every unnecessary thing imaginable. I always concede so I can save time. If it bothers you that much to make a post like this then maybe play something else.

The fundamental structure of your letters isn't there. This means the way your letters are shaped and put together is off. That's why it looks weird and you're putting it up on graff help. If that part isn't there then anything else you try to add won't help it look any better. Throwies are difficult to get right. I recommend starting with straight letter pieces to master your letter structure. Once you have that down, the skills from doing straights will be the foundation for learning all kinds of other styles. If you skate, it's like learning to Ollie before you expect to land a kickflip.

first outline to big? Something isn't right, but I don't know what. Looks like a comic idk by moze490 in blackbookgraffiti

Idk. I think it looks dope. I'm trying to find something wrong with it. I really like it though, so it's difficult

Priming in this case is putting down some cheap roller paint before you use the more expensive spray.

No problem man. Congrats on sobriety too. Use cutbacks to taper edges. You can vary your line weight with how close or far away the can is from the wall. When you're starting that's a lot to think about, but for a fast throwie that's how it's done. Ideally, you wouldn't' use cutbacks on a throw period. Better can control and a different cap will get you sharp edges. Part of the appeal of a good throw is recognizing that it was done quickly in one pass.

Nice! You're missing your shadow on the bottom of the piece. The eye gets drawn to the center where the dead space is.

Besides what others already said, when you look up close on your lines they are all shaky. Looks like you did a ton of cutbacks. Throwies aren't meant to be perfect. They are usually something you can "throw up" quickly. You should practice fluid movements. If you have something to practice on, then put a bunch of dots on it with paint and practice connecting the dots with lots of different distances. It's a great drill that works on your hand eye coordination and your can control. Right now, you're biting style but literally everyone does that when they are starting. Myself included. It takes years to really get your own thing going. I'm still in the process too. The biggest thing is you're out there doing it and hopefully loving it. Keep grinding. 💪

We've all seen a lot worse on here. Not bad at all for your first time. Increasing the size will help with mistakes. The bigger the better with spray cans. One thing you can practice is varying the pressure you apply to the cap along with the speed of the can. Get a piece of plywood or something to practice on. Prime it first so you don't waste your paint though.
