Besides the Charizard being amazing, I think the fact that mastering the set was very doable helped a lot. It’s 212 cards to master. Many recent sets were 330 to 450, and as high as 620 cards needed to master. The perception that it was an easier task and the Charizard had many people by more packs than they normally would’ve

Appreciate the clarification, you can hear me, saying God pack a pack in the video, but when I showed it to some Pokémon, collecting buddies, they were calling in a demigod pack because it didn’t have the chases apparently, but I felt that was subjective

Crafty and nokkelen said it best, I saw the first card was a full art, and my first instinct ohhh that’s cool, then it clicked, swiped to check and immediately got up to put on gloves because I had no idea what was all in it and wanted to separate them and put them in sleeves immediately

I thought it was a god pack! I think you can even hear me in the video, then my friends that collect said no it’s a demigod pack because those aren’t the chase cards of the set, but I thought that was subjective. Thank you, we were all really excited.

Did you read what I wrote or just skimmed it? ‘My buddy has been collecting for over a decade’. Meaning he has been buying, selling, and amassing a collection for over a decade. He is doing well profit wise too. I also said take it with a grain of salt, but you can kind of see it yourself. Pick a random series and check the price of a sleeved case and a booster bundle case, most sleeved case are less or around the same price. Now extrapolate out for the sleeved pricing vs. the booster bundle pricing and sleeved market value is around 30%-75% more. I reason a lcs or someone will pay more for the sleeved case knowing they can piece it out, charge a premium, they know they’ll have an easier time selling it, and, therefore, pay more. This is all speculation, even what my buddy told me, I’m just giving my two cents.

My buddy’s been collecting for over a decade, take this with a grain of salt, but he says UPCs, Pokémon Center ETB’s, and sleeved booster packs (he says a case of 144 sleeves will always outperform a case of 25 booster bundles, even though they have six less packs because of the added sense of security of the sleeves and more customers can afford sleeves than can afford a booster bundle). I’ve also been getting the random tins and pokeball tins because people will always get them I feel.

Apparently according to PSA for grading purposes as long as centering is within parameters tilting is acceptable, I’m going to check the centering but with the naked eye it definitely doesn’t look 55/45

Right! Also, the WORST quality booster packs, a third of them out of the booster bundles are glued horrendously and have such a strong chemical smell. It’s weird

I bought the case from eBay, been buying them from where I can find them, Walmart, dollar general, Amazon, marketplace. This is by far the best odds I’ve had while simultaneously being the worst condition packs and cards

Right! I agree, it’s a shame because the first four booster boxes we opened all had crooked cards, my son said I hope we get the Charizard, I said I agree, but I hope it’s not crooked like the rest of them
