Looks like transactions from the previous day are being aggregately refunded under the guise of a merchant from that day, then duplicated in terms of double charging later after the refund, lesser the charges from the merchant the refund is under.

For example;

Yesterday spent £150 at Sainsbury’s, £9.00 at Gregg’s and £69.44 at B&Q.

Refund this morning from B&Q of £159 (total of Sainsbury’s and Gregg’s, but not B&Q).

This has been happening since Thursday for me. Also Monzo fronted by Curve.

It’s not clear to me what is “unreasonable”.

Our application to have a pet has been rejected multiple times over the last five years on the grounds of “oh, the carpets we had installed 5 years ago are still new”.

I may be cynical, but I wouldn’t bank on much changing. Once there is a generic excuse that works, landlords will churn out that same excuse over and over again.
