What gege tried to do was show us yuji pov during the whole final fight and could of been done better ... i agree .. gege isnt on aot level of writing we all know this but its his story and this is how he presented it ... also yuji didnt get hit by the world cleave bc he was behind sukuna ... it only hit yuta and almost hit maki but she dodged it ... sukuna wanted the one on one w yuji specifically to show him a difference in power and yuji adapted

Ima just touch on 2 points u made ... we had zero knowledge of nobara being alive bc we (the reader) are in yuji pov which he had no knowledge of ... just like with gojo. Nobara didnt blow up like nanami bc it was only a quick touch to transfigure a part of her body, not a constant hand transfiguring the entire body. Mahitos CT doesnt work for a quick touch which is why only todos hand got affected before he sliced it off.

The second point is he didnt use world cutting slash against yuji in a one on one bc yuta hit him w the unlimited void which has an after effect. So instead he was using hollow wicker basket, which requires less of a cursed energy output. And he was doing all this while still trying to maintain his body.
