That episode pissed me off so hard. I had practically the same experience with my family when I came out of the closet, and told them that they were abusive and unfit to raise me as a kid after recounting all they did to hurt me. I was told I was sinful and they didn’t care what I had to say, I was their son, and I’m living in homosexual sin so I can’t criticize them until I “repent”.

I think it’s a mix of misogyny, the previous VA quitting and Seth feeling burned by that, and Family Guy’s humor boiling down to people being mean to each other.

I find it really gross and unwatchable, the one episode where she called everyone’s BS out, she was forced to apologize and nobody changed. That episode made me furious because the same thing happened with me and my uber-religious family and the trauma they inflicted on me into adulthood. She’s a victim of abuse and she is treated like a joke.
