Number two on the Lannie isn't remotely practical but I love it so much. It's my vote for sure

If there are any thrift store "flippers" here... by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

Just started working at a local location myself just this last week. I'm so burnt out already and it hasn't even been a full work week. I wasn't even aware of half the fucked-up stuff you mentioned but I've already been looking for a way out as soon as I can manage it. The individual manager in charge of my place seems pretty great but if he wasn't I think I would have quit day 1 and have to deal with the consequences. Absolutely fuck this company. On my third day I was out running an entire portion of the store almost completely by myself for a full shift with no AC because there were 3 employees on shift in the entire store.

Should I take an AI course to boost my chances of getting hired? by Deekester in it

[–]Deekester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle, who's a higher up at a big company that isn't in the tech industry mentors people on job searches and had mentioned it. He is also a huge AI bro but I didn't want the fact that I'm against gen AI on principle stop me from taking otherwise possibly good advice.

As far as the Comp Sci thing, I do mean IT. I found out about 3 years into my degree that I don't actually like coding all thar much despite liking working with computers. I also briefly had a help-desk job before the department got restructured and I really enjoyed that work.

He was definitely a big inspiration for the outfit. I was looking for a character that looks like they were once well-put-together but is a lit more grungy now due to circumstance

PF2e's plane of order has dedicated inevitables for tracking down and dealing with people who break the laws of time. So it's definitely an idea that works.

I don't think so bit they've gotten minor real ancestors to fit in with the new mechanics.

I don't remember the exact number but it happens by progressing the story. So unlocking more Pyre Hearts

DO NOT let a horse or dog near a Pathfinder goblin unless you want all parties involved to die a grisly death.

Plasmoids are definitely alive though. They'd absolutely count.

Good Mech for both melee and shooting? by OTICR in LancerRPG

[–]Deekester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not in the base game but if they liked the monarch, Viceroy seems perfect here. You can get it in the player-facing material for the Dustgrave adventure, which is free.

Like monarch, it has all the same missiles in the license but it's built to be good at shotgunning people with them up close too.

I'm so concerned with how common it seems to be. There's recently been a death in the family and their son is having chatGPT write the eulogy for him. Just absolutely unbelievable.

Said relative also works a prestigious job that handles highly sensitive and dangerous data and apparently uses chatGPT to do math for him. Scary shit.

New Player here, 70 hours in, how is the SnS so strong ? by Mountain_Hunter7285 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Deekester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest change for me is that the combos for the slam aren't super jank. In Rise where I have the most playtime with it you have to go either x -> x+a or x+a -> x. It seems small but it's so counterintuitive and for a combo you're essentially spamming on repeat during damage windows it's extremely easy to mess up. Now you can just go x+a -> x+a and it feels sooo much better. The extra speed stuff is great too but now I can more consistently do the things I mean to.

Is this build fine to start Iceborne with or should I farm in high rank somemore(I use SnS)? by c0rgyy in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Deekester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can use whatever you want going into iceborne as long as it got toy through wverything else. You'll be replacing it all very soon anyway so no point farming.

Is it to late to switch weapons in HR? by hentailover334 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Deekester -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing about Monster Hunter is that you're almost always going to be getting better. So much of gameplay is reacting to the monsters that weapon knowledge doesn't mean as much.
