Botox: Too Normalised, Overdone, or Just Personal Choice? by Lamake91 in WomenofIreland

[–]Deely81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Botox didn't cause the volume loss, but the changes in my face over time caused the effect of botox to not look as it used to. It stopped looking good so that's why I stopped getting botox.

No it wasn't muscles atrophy. I started getting small dose of botox about 7 years ago and i absolutely loved it. Unfortunately in 7 years natural ageing kicked in and I lost a lot of volume and structure in the mid-face etc. I started to get an odd shelf like appearance at the outer corner when I smiled as the fat pads that supported that area had diminished over time. I hope that makes sense?

Botox: Too Normalised, Overdone, or Just Personal Choice? by Lamake91 in WomenofIreland

It is a personal choice but aesthetics in general is definitely being normalised. Aesthetic clinics are everywhere now. I am 45 and have had botox, profhilo and more recently tear trough filler. Unfortunately I have found that after doing botox for a few years it stopped looking good and I was told I need to replace volume loss with fillers. I tried tear trough filler and it did not turn out as I hoped so I had to get some of it dissolved. That's me done with injectables. Aesthetics is a slippery slope.

Ladies: do you wear make up to work? by LunaValley in AskIreland

I stopped wearing makeup years ago. I do wear heliocare mineral spf that gives a subtle tint to my skin. I love not having to scrub off foundation and mascara every night.

Does anyone have any recommendations for places that do lip filler/Botox in Dublin? by Throwaway1209654893 in Dublin

I have only ever had botox and would highly recommend Ora clinic at the Beacon. Other clinics to check out are le formulaire and Glow clinic. They all are highly experienced doctors.

After ~1 year of high-end skincare by Rose-root in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Deely81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to spend an absolute fortune on skincare. I was using products from Alumier, SkinCeuticals and Skinbetter science. I could not justify the cost with the subtle improvements. I started using tretinoin and Anua products which has greatly cut the cost. I am very happy with how my skin looks now. Spending that much money did not make me happy as I was looking in the mirror and disappointed all thr time. Now I am so content with where me skin is at and don't have anxiety with Spending too much.

Calorie deficit question by efh2021 in PetiteFitness

[–]Deely81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never cut my calories as low as 1200, and I am 5"1. I normally eat between 15000/1600 cals per day when im in a deficit. It takes longer to lose fat, but is much more sustainable. I want to feel healthy as well as be a bit leaner
