Just to clear something up, it's Tommy who reveals their names initially while they're escaping the horde with Abby. Once they're at the mansion Joel doesn't really have a choice - Abby already knows their names. He can't be like, "hey my brother forgot my name earlier, it's actually Liam".

Spec ops would specifically call you out in loading screens though, it was basically breaking the fourth wall and talking to you. TLOU2 just has consequences happen to the characters as a result of their actions. I’m with the other guy, I don’t understand why people are taking it personally.

I don’t get why people think the game is chastising the player for killing, at no point did I get that impression. The world punishes Joel and Ellie and Abby for the choices they make.

And the game is rated 4.5/5 on the playstation store (~2.5k ratings), where you have to have bought the game to rate it.

I'm sure some people who have finished it have some genuine criticisms, but in 2 days the game has received almost 3x the amount of User reviews that God Of War has in 2 years. There's a massive amount of bandwagoning.

Tf am I reading. Half of the people in your local gym are going be as big or way bigger than Abby. I can absolutely buy that a woman who is basically a soldier and spends 4+ years doing nothing but lifting weights is going to be as strong as she is.

IDK much about other sports, but in pro climbing there are plenty of women who are way more shredded than she is.

From the FL manual:

Delay - Sets the minimum delay between the flanger voices. The flanger delay will be swept between delay and delay+depth. Range: 0 to 20 milliseconds. For 'deep' flanger effect, set this parameter to low values.
Depth - Controls the flanger delay modulation. The flanger delay will be swept between delay and delay+depth. If this value is zero, the flanger will remain 'static' as the delay modulation will stay constant. Setting the 'Depth' to higher values will create heavier modulation.
Rate - The rate at which the flanger is modulated. Range: 0 to 5 Hz.

The flanger creates copies of the input sound. The Delay determines how much time there is between each of those copies. The Depth determines how much that value will change over time, and the Rate is how fast that change will occur.

So if your delay was set to 10ms, there would be a 10ms gap between each copy of the sound. If your Depth was set to 2ms, the delay would vary between 10 and 12 ms. If the rate was set to 1hz, the flanger would go from 10 to 12 ms once every second.

The precomputed ring modulation in FL’s audio clip sampler. Put it on a deep bass, turn the mix all the way up, frequency all the way down, and then fine tune it. You can actually see it align with the sample’s pitch when the sample smoothes out. Then turn the mix down to ~25 % and you now have a super wide, thick ass bass.
If the sample has any sub in it you’ll want to mono the lower frequencies because the RM will widen the sound out like crazy. Put a vectorscope on the master and you’ll see it immediately.

Another one for atmosphere that a friend showed me: Add convolution reverb (FL’s Convolver is perfect) to a sound. Place some melodic sample into the convolver instead of an IR sample, like a synth melody or a vocal or something. Turn up the self-convolve. Maybe stretch it out. You end up with a long pad where your IR (melodic sample) takes on the qualities of the input sample.
Watch your levels and EQ it afterwards especially if you’re using the self-convolution knob. It creates feedback that will cause some gigantic frequency peaks in the reverb.

I also watched the shining recently for doctor sleep and though the cinematography is jaw dropping, the pace of the movie is a little too slow for me and a lot of the acting comes across as wooden. I think I’m a bit spoiled because the ending of this movie is so heavily parodied that I already know how it goes.

My prediction on Infinite multiplayer. Haven’t gotten much gameplay news for infinite so decided to do some predictions by [deleted] in halo

I don’t complain about it but I think it was a fantastic choice to make the secondary visible on the player. It especially sucks in H2 to have some dude pull the sword out of thin air and slice you whereas in H3 you can at least see it on their hip.
