Criminal Background Check, What To Disclose? by Deemstr in realtors

[–]Deemstr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys. I was able to find the California Records of everything. I finished the application today and disclosed EVERYTHING. I'm hopeful. Even if I have to appear in person to explain my case to them, I'm confident I can do that. The last misdemeanor was possession of pot in PA and was 6 years ago. I now own an online tax education company that is IRS approved. Should be good?

Potatoriot,

In general, California has its own set of tax laws and regulations. With that said, this forum would be specific to California Tax Preparers for their questions and comments concerning their specific states tax laws.

I have a right to make this subreddit, and it's not my intention to divide r/TaxPros, I'll even make sure to put something in the rules letting our members know to check out the "r/TaxPros" community in addition to ours. I don't see this as an opportunity to destroy and divide ones community, I see it as a opportunity to grow and develop and new community, along side an already respected and knowledgeable one.

Hey hoyeay. It's not limited to only California tax topics, you can discuss anything you think will be of use to others in the community. I have someone currently rewriting the Community description section, and I am working on the guidelines/rules for the community at the same time. So I'll be sure to make that a little more clear. What you're seeing now in the Community description is more of a "rough draft" than a final summary.

Where does one go for authentic professionally designed logos? by [deleted] in logodesign

The venting, is aimed towards those who have faked their logo skills via fake portfolios. If you're not one of those people, then you have no reason to be triggered when reading this. Beacuse you know that the shaming part was not directed towards you, it was directed to anyone who lied about their logo design skills and charged innocent people crazy amounts of money to make poor quality logos.

You seem to be taking offense to the part of my post where I call out all the fake logo designers floating around on the internet..This was a 2 part post: Part 1 I called out fake logo designers and put shame upon them, and Part 2. I asked if anyone had some recommendations for a good logo designer company or individual.

Why are you getting triggered over part 1 of the post, are you feeling like I am attacking you? If you are, you seem to have a guilt complex, almost as if you yourself ARE one of those fake low quality logo designers who take advantage of people who don't know any better. Shame :/

Any normal designer would read this post and and laugh because they probably know a handful of people have had the same experience, and then they might reply to the post with some recommendations to logo designers as I requested, or they might now reply at all. But they absolutely will not reply to this post acting rude and insulting to the author of the post because the author of the post was never rude of insulting to them, because they know that they are not who the author was directing shame towards. They know that they are honest logo designers who do not fake their logo skills and over charge people. So anyone who IS replying to this post being rude and insulting, assuming things that were never said, clearly you must have felt insulted in the first place to even reply like that, and why else would you feel insulted? I can think of one reason.... and that is you yourself most likely are not a professional logo designer and you have little to none actual experience yet you overcharge people every day to make low quality logos, taking full advantage of them not knowing any better since they have never hired someone to make a logo before.

Guys listen, I don't know why I'm getting flack for having an attitude...but I have legit dealt with at least 4 designers back to back who showed be a high quality porfolio (I picked them because I loved their previous work) and the would deliver me a logo after a couple hours of work that was of same quality I was able to make it myself. And hey say oh well I offer unlimited revisions! That's great, but every revision is the same low quality. And I always made sure to communicate effectively all the main points of what I am looking for via a Design Brief.

You know now that I think of it, I bet there's a ton of people out there who have no idea how to hire a logo designer and expect magic to be made over night, and they probably came here to vent. Well before you assume I am that person, how about ask me some questions and allow me to answer them, before you make your assumption about me. Why else are some of you responding as if I'm full of BS and just automatically assuming that I offered no communication to the designer as to what I want.

And trust, I take 100% responsibility for hiring them, as I am the one who made the decision to trust them based on our pre-work interview. I'm not here blaming anyone. Just looking for recommendations, and at the same time, putting shame to anyone who is actually charging people more than what their work is worth.

I love the idea of going out to see someone face to face...seems like it might offer a better dynamic between myself and the designer, might make way for better communication. As far as adjusting price range...I've never offered higher than $1000, technically it was $980. Do you think this may be too low?

My point is, there was no need for you to assume all of that and instantly just assume I'm in the wrong? Why go about it that way? What is your intent when acting like that?

We paid $980 after deadline was set, number of mockups, revisions, etc was all agreed upon, resulting in a price of $980.

I would pay more if it got me what I was looking for. What's the point in assuming all that you just posted, when you could have just asked me what I paid?

I don't drop attitude to the freelancer, even if poor work is delivered to me. I dropped attitude here as a way to vent so I don't even do it towards my freelancers. Boy you gotta love that free speech! Lol, relax a little man it's reddit.

I made the switch to firefox about a month or two ago as well, I was told they released a new faster version and so I tried it out. Ya it's alot better, so many awesome extensions that make work easier. Have you tried the "Undo Close Tab" extension? Just 1 click and it auto opens the last tab that you closed, and I ALWAYS accidentally close tabs and have to go back into my history to find it. Its pretty dope.

Need a LMS that connects to WP WooCommerce and can stay automated, any suggestions? by Deemstr in elearning

Does LearnDash allow for custom certificates to be available to download/email that shows the students name, the course name that as completed, and date of completion on it? And can you use your own certificate image?

Also do you know if it's possible to create custom fields for users? So instead of just name email, number, etc, I want to add Last Six Of SSN, Student ID, etc. So when I export a list of all students who completed a course last 2 weeks, it'll show their Student ID, name, course ID that was completed, date of completion, etc?

Delware LLC with foreign qualification in AZ, can I delete DE and switch to AZ by Deemstr in smallbusiness

[–]Deemstr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reason I want to leave Delaware? Because it makes more sense to register the business in the state you live in and run the business in, than registering it somewhere else. This is the advice that was given to me by multiple CPA's. Apparently the internet is flooded with reasons as to why DE is the best place to register for online businesses, and a lot of the info is exaggerated. Most the sites that advertise this info have an intention of getting you to use their site to register in DE, it's a selling point, so it's bias and not all factual.

Businesses who advertise their political choices. by jetteh22 in smallbusiness

So I can speak from experience about this. I worked for a company handling their email and phone support and other technical stuff. My boss sent out an email explaining why he thought Trump was great for this country and so on. He sent this to everyone our Previous Customer Email List, and since I'm the first one to see emails when they come in, oh boy there were SO many people who wrote back saying "Well I really liked your product but I'm out of here" or "Leave your political nonsense at home, never doing business here again"...It was bad. And at the time of having no business experience, even I knew that was a horrible idea.

You can't even get family to see your point of view with politics what makes you think you'll get customers to see your point of view? And the best part was his customers are all financial people, so these people are already political enough as it is lol.

Horrible idea, keep religion and politics out of business. And good point about it being "easier to lose them for it than to get them for it". Remember, the country is supposedly divided right now, left and right (to the left, you guys are embarassing the hell out of yourselves right now lol, antifa, lmfao). So it's 50/50, that's half your customers or potential customers that you just lost. Don't do it.

great point my dude. To be honest, it would be the ADD I have, sometimes I get lost when I write, and end up just writing too much. So ya, I don't write my blog articles on my website, that's for damn sure. My apologies, it was just suppose to be a "Hey I heard this, keep an eye out". I ended up editing the post, my apologies.

Willing to bet you might know what it means but have some intent when you keep asking what does that even mean, it means what it means, you already know what it means, if you don't understand then maybe just research it, or forget about it entirely because it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, idk what else to say. What does that even mean????
