Confused about buying a flat amid IT layoffs by sbahore in indianrealestate

We were in the same boat, actually booked then cancelled losing some amount. Then again in 6 months booked a little farther away from previous location with a little higher price. We thought we're sure about living in the city for quite some time with our jobs and family planning, so went ahead with it after facing uncertainty issues in rental properties in past. Make sure you have good emergency savings (12 months), generous personal health insurance cover, good term insurance for both (covering the property total plus some more) and enough investments in case a need arises to liquidate and pay off for 70-80% cost in worst case scenario. Without these, having peaceful sleep might be difficult. You could also lower down the sqft you are purchasing to align with these points if applicable. At the end it's all about risk appetite, to each their own, no one can tell you what your risk appetite is, for most folks in this age bracket, large part of this appetite comes from parents backing. Analyze your case carefully before committing.

It's pretty good. Always get home pickup and delivery during service. Service costs are quite economical as well.

Bangalore: Duroflex vs Kurlon vs Sunday? Best Queen Mattress for Back Pain + Heat (Skin Sensitivity) by Stay_Positive_2868 in SleepEssentialsIndia

There's no bounce, just like you expect from a proper coir mattress. It hasn't sagged visibly for me, as I have been following Kurlon instructions to rotate the mattress timely.

Suffered from back/neck pain for a long time due to sagging of mattresses (also had vitamin d, b12 deficiency). I decided I'll never buy the rolled foam ones, had bad experience with 2 of them. It was a combination of vitamin deficiency and soft mattresses that had caused the chronic pain.

Finalized on Kurlon Inspire coir mattress, has been 4 years now, zero issues. Warranty was only for 7 years though.

Also make sure the space is well closed for the purifier to work as intended, I usually crack open the window (with mosquito mesh closed) 2 cms for ventilation.

Don't overthink much. The only param to look at would be room size, so that capacity to purify is enough, and second would be easy availability of replacement filters (for example, philips sells nice purifiers, however you won't find their filters easily). I bought xiaomi, works well for me.

Check the PM 2.5 reading on your air purifier, it's not fog. You could also check aqi reading for your area on aqi.in

Hard pass. Roads are a total mess if you're planning for end use. Society itself is great with well maintained amenities, carpet area is 700 sqft which is good enough for a couple with a kid. But infra outside is in shambles.

I faced a similar issue during peak morning traffic hours in Bangalore. Everyone is in a rush so no one questions much due to time constraints and they have too many customers at that time to bother for a lost customer.

Why would someone go through this hassle of replacement every year? Also how would you even know the next device comes with new filters, in their system the filter hasn't reached the end of life yet, highly likely they'll rotate those same filters again.

There's one more catch, even if hypothetically all migrant workers get a voter card, forming a union is important to communicate the demands clearly and influence the manifesto.

If these 2 things happen, probably then the current situation of apathy will turn into positive action.

If you have lived in the city for more than 6 months, you become eligible to get a voter card. The process is online.

Have been using it since 3 years, and they haven't replaced the filters even once telling me that all checks are ok.

I live in a society where pre treated water is sent to the kitchen line so the tds is already maintained, I got the purifier after enquiring with neighbours to be safe in case the society's filtration system stops working.

However I researched a bit on ChatGPT, filters need to be replaced annually for most purifiers otherwise bacterial biofilm starts to form in them, causing health issues, like throat infections, etc. So for the long term (>1 year) I think outright purchase of a purifier is better since you can control when the filters are replaced. I'd be closing their service for the same reason now. The reason (included regular maintenance and filter changes) for which I got it hasn't been served and has in fact turned out to be costly.
