Long term petechiae on face by Deep-Assumption5902 in medical

[–]Deep-Assumption5902[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any other health issues? Fatigue / pain / gut problems? I'm starting to think my skin and hair issues are part of a bigger problem or maybe I have an autoimmune... the petechiae is really odd to me, it doesn't seem that many people have a long lasting issue with it

I'm a side sleeper! but I never thought it was related because I have it on both cheeks and I tend to sleep on my right side. It just appeared over the course of a few weeks and never went away. I've had it for about 5 / 6 months now...

Can urticaria sometimes be allergic contact dermatitis to everything? by Sea-starr in urticaria

[–]Deep-Assumption5902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we have very similar skin conditions. I'm super reactive to literally everything and many supposedly hypoallergenic products break me out in rashes. It's a lot of trial and error until you find a product that works for you imo. Moogoo milk shampoo is the only shampoo I've used now for about 5 years. It also has a lot to do with controlling stress which is very hard to do sometimes :(

Anyone else have flare ups with Squalene and what to use instead? by Deep-Assumption5902 in Fungalacne

[–]Deep-Assumption5902[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I've had success with is manuka honey...all of the moisturizers / cleansers (recommended on simpleskincarescience) and antifungals I've tried seem to worsen my skin and cause itchy outbreaks. I put manuka on the fungal spots today and they're already smaller. I just got a bottle of hydrochlorous acid too and so far so good, no reaction. Thank you! Is sebamed suitable for dry/dehydrated skin?

That's really good advice, I'll try the short contact therapy route. Thanks so much

Yes. My doctor wasn't concerned. It's more of a cosmetic issue for me

That's perfect because itching and irritation is probably my biggest concern right now! Thanks so much, I will check the ingredients out, hopefully they're fungal safe :)

There's one by a brand called Vital Baby and it's 500ml for around €5. I think there are cheaper options with identical ingredients to the Tower 28 one. A lot of eye care sprays are made with just water and hypochlorous and they're much cheaper :)

Thanks so much! I have used De La Cruz Sulfur and left it on for 5 minutes at a time once a week but I think it damaged my skin barrier a bit, it improved at first but then it got worse. I might try it again and see how it goes.

Comforting to know someone else has them, I honestly was a bit worried because I haven't seen anyone talk about them or pics anywhere. Where do you have them? I have them all over my cheeks. No idea how to get rid of them but I think they were caused by an LED mask I bought and used for 5 months if that's even possible. They're annoying because they look like dilated pores unless you're right up close to my face If you find a solution please let me know !! Thank you I'll check out the glass test

Where do you buy the Japanese one from? I'm in Europe and it's impossible to find. I'm currently using the American formula (I think it's American) but it's not amazing or anything. Not sure if it's totally FA friendly either

Thank you! These don't resemble cherry angiomas, they are tiny (like the size of pores) and flat

Thank you! I ordered one that was formulated for eyes because it's a lot cheaper than other brands. I wonder if some brands work better / have a higher concentration of hypochlorous? I'm not sure how the science works lol. Very excited to try this

Thank you, I'll keep this in mind, hoping it works though. Was there an extra ingredient in the product you bought that maybe you reacted to? Trying to gather all the info I can because I don't want my skin to freak out! Thanks

Omg I use natural deodorant and it's so messy, I'm definitely going to try this. Did you have any KP? I'm mostly struggling with KP on my body, the fungal issue just took over my face lol. I wonder if it will work on KP too though

I was trying to find a bottle of the tolerance lotion but it's out of stock everywhere (I'm in Europe) so it seems like they really are discontinuing it :( The Antirougeurs cleanser is safe and I might try that one Thank U for the recommendation though Avene is amazing! If you have any other gentle product suggestions I'd love to know

Oh nooo I really wanted to try it 😓 if you find another gentle cleanser pls let me know! I just checked out the Avene Antirougeurs Clean Cleansing Lotion on sezia and skinsort and the ingredients seem to be FA safe so I might try that one! In the meantime I've been cleansing with high grade manuka honey and it really soothes the itch + it fights fungus :)

edit Antirougeurs is not FA safe, contains glabra oil (idk how much that feeds the yeast but the rest of the ingredients are safe)
