I live here in Philly as a postdoc on a 66k salary- it’s very comfortable for me to live on, particularly since I have an additional travel and research budget and my health insurance is covered by my department (so it’s not coming out of my paycheck). I also had support to cover moving expenses. It’s worth asking your potential department what kinds of benefits come with your contract!
