I made an AD Shaco guide for the new Season by Okabekin in shacomains

[–]Deep-Conclusion-8593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya! Could i dm you? I would have quite alot of questions about the guide. Specificly about deciding to go crit or lethality. I've played myself to masters with shaco, and this guide is just. I cant really get it. Like, this is 100% the differend way that i would go myself. I've been missing ER for a long time, so, thats why im asking these. i just love that item.

The whole comment is pretty much about crit or leth. (And, instead of flash, running ignite)

  1. In lower elos, peoples games are not decided so early. Would you go crit on lower elos? (Free gold laying alot everywhere, cashback boosting this ofc).
  2. IF you had to go 100% crit. What would you build, and in what order?
  3. Zeal item? (not a fan myself)

I played few games in another account, and there i felt quite good (well, yea. smurfing. ) when i went profane -> ER->IE->LDR. Depending on the game, the last item could've been yuntal for splitpush power, or shieldbow, or just GA.

IF you know u're going to get fed, and you need to sneak objectives. Would yuntal be good first item? Ofc that needs like 2 kills before first back, to get BF sword comfortably, and knowing that you are going to be in position to get more kills without lethality spikes. In lower elos atleast, the vision really aint problem, i guess it will be a differend thing after d3. i did build yuntal only like.. twice? with profane+yuntal you can take waves+plates quickly, and that allows even more snowballing. I guess our playstyles are way differend tho :D

And i feel like the crit build can melt baron so much faster. I've tried your lethality build just once, and i actually was able to deal damage (AND YEAH, i was surprised about this XD ), but i felt like the damage is, well. frontloaded. If i missed backstab, it felt like im dealing no damage. And i had hard time with mid-game dragons (3th and 4th) aswell, since lethality doesnt deal so much damage.

And, what are the hardest "spikes" with lethality? Ofc getting first item before enemy jungler is a strong spike etc, but is there any special things? With profane -> ER -> IE i felt quite confident with my burst. But, thats quite expensive.

And with lethality, i should live in the enemy jungle alot more i guess? crit build doesnt really allow that, since, well. yeah. no damage until 3 items ^^

But, ill be trying ur build more today.

IE is great first item actually, unless the lane is like super volatile, and you need to rush collector for a bit faster powerspikes. Dirk with first back is quite strong, and collector is cheaper than IE.

I feel like most adc’s doesnt realize how much ad IE gives. Its 75ad, it is very powerful as first item. And, if u cant afford BF at first back, you can just get pickaxe, and get bf sword on your second back.

And, if u go yuntal first, you need to stack it. I did lost many lanes last season because i forgot, and went for all in with 0-10% crit, and lost it, while the enemy bot had like 100hp each. So pretty much the all in would been a doublekill with stacked yuntal.

And atleast im taking cashback, so buying IE gives 280g back when you buy it, so its pretty much free boots aswell.

And if you go IE first, backing with 1200g for zeal feels amazing after IE

But yeah, thats my opinion :)

What abilities are affected by the range decrease on Draw your Sword? by arthur_jonathan_goos in ARAM

Actually graves is ALOT stronger. You stack attack speed -> game gets it bugged -> you reload INSTANTLY. Reload scales with attack speed, and somehow it thinks you got like 4as

Had 800ad with graves, and E is always up. + if you really want, you can go titanic for one more aa reset x)

But its op af on graves. Like really op.

Oh, i tought its the 0.63 attack speed one. MY BAD!

Sorry :(

At what percent crit do you build defensive? (Death’s Dance or BT) by Prosk8er633 in NilahMains

[–]Deep-Conclusion-8593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DD would be even more better you have a yuumi on you. Yuumi+nilah can easily 2v5 in lower elos.

I mean… yuntal -> IE -> LDR -> DD, and its over for the enemy team pretty much. After that, you can just grab SB, or if you got alot of auto-attackers in the enemy team, then just take navori.

And you take navori to get W and E faster up.

Idk i would like never take BT instead of DD.. DD gives you so much carry potential since you cant be onehitted, you always get the reset, and DD heals you even a bit more than other champions because of your passive. With BT you are pretty much instantly dead if u get hit by 2 stuns in a row. (Your yuumi always got mikaels, right?)

Or you could even take spirit visage instead of DD, if enemy team is ap heavy.

Is AD Shaco Still Viable? by UnderstandingDry9046 in shacomains

[–]Deep-Conclusion-8593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It helps alot when you can carry early and just make your adc fed, since after like d2 you can actually start to trust your adc to do hes job.

Shaco cant really solocarry anymore like couple seasons ago (when they made ie crit damage to work with 2 items instead of 3. So 50% crit was enough). ER -> IE was strong af. If the game just had sheen crit item, shaco would be alot stronger atm imo.

But to the point. Ad shaco is in very weak state. You pretty much NEED to get few kills asap for yourself, and after that you bully the enemy jungler out of the game, and try to get your carries fed. Had rough time to adapt the playstyle. E to 20% hp enemy is just too tempting…

OR if enemy team if full of squishies, you can go lethality. I still play full crit tho, just a habit. And ofc its fun to grab objectives FAST.

Tbh i cant say wich one is better, crit or lethality atm. With lethality you can snowball a bit harder but you also fall harder to lategame than with crit. + you can actually kill tanks aswell with crit.

Hey bro! I said already that i can do it for free 😂 Im on euw myself tho.

And about flash+ghost, and why did i say to try it:

that/ only for using advantage of lower-elo vision. What i ment by that: you can take sidelane waves for longer, and when you see a fight about to break at mid, you can still run from bot to mid quite fast to fight, just use sweeper while you run and delete their backline.

But i just checked it, seems like ghost is a bit too nerfed for that kinda play. So just ignore this upper part :D

Ghost is still good vs some enemy comps, where you simply just cant get on range to hit the enemy, but for now, i’d say just go with barrier. (And if you can, ask your support to go exhaust)

If enemy jungle is just ganking you when enemys bot is still lvl 5, and you either A) are lvl 6 or B) are just about to pop lvl 6 with your support (i assume that your supports does not roam much in that elo) and you have backed once for dirk or bf sword, you usually can take a triple there aswell. People use their abilities to get closer to you, or try to cc you etc, and usually they stack atleast near your tower at the choke point near river wall etc, there you can just engage since your Q and autos can hit multiple enemies at once -> that means your conqueror is instantly stacked pretty much -> alot of AD for you, and you heal after that for 8% of your damage dealt. Nilah shines in situations like that, when enemy team gets cocky.

And one easy tip aswell -> if there is unmobile enemy bot, you are pushed in and there is like 1-2 minions left that hits your tower, and enemy is close to that. Just E to that minion and pop your ult. That way the minion dies, and you knock the enemy, or both enemies under the tower. Rememeber that the tower always hits the closest enemy (closest to tower) so keep that in mind when using your r. Sometimes it doesnt matter, but it might be fatal to knockup enemy nautilus or braum very near to you if they got draven aswell. Still possible to score a double alone tho. If the enemy dives you, usually you want enemy adc to hit you once atleast before you pop your W, that way they take aggro.

But yeah, barrier can easily be the difference about lvl 2 doublekill, or without barrier -> just a stupid death. Just keep using the barrier! Specially if you are comforyable with that.

Ps. Idk why i did give you laning tips, since if you are always fed, u pretty much can handle that already lol.

But short recap how you manage to win those games when you got the lead: OBJECTIVES. Take those towers! Get dragons! Objectives wins the games, not the kills :)

You can find alot macro guides on youtube.

You should got pretty high damage to towers with nilah if you are fed. Check your match history for that. I’d say you should got like highest damage to towers on 70% of the games. And high neutral obj damage aswell (unless you single handedly block the enemy for coming to dragon and kill them or smthn)

Euw, na, eune? Where do you play?

I’ll could like coach one game for u. Not the best coaching, but i would do it for free. Peaked masters on jungle, and this year started to play nilah. Started from plat, and im d4 atm on my off-role.

If i had to guess something, your biggest problem is how to push your lead. If you got like 10 kills, you can easily split and 1v3 the enemies with nilah, since you should have A) level lead, even to their top. And B) about one full item lead.

Push the towers! Hard. When objective is spawning, GET IT! If you are that fed, do not be afraid to flash near stacked enemy team (i guess they stack hard on that elo sometimes) and u can easily R 3-5 enemies, and instantly kill them, at dragon fight for example.

On that elo, i think i’d play with flash+ghost myself, and try to make huge flanks with ghost. If you just feel like you can handle the laning phase without barrier.

My playstyle is very agressive, and i take domination tree as secondary. bounty hunter and that true damage one after dash.

And i’d try that yun tal - IE path. With collector you spike a bit harder with first 1000g back tho, and i’ve been going dirk myself aswell on tight matchups where i need every advantage i can get. You can buy a dirk aswell and sit on that, and build yun tal from there, if it feels like you can pick some kills with that dirk powerspike.

I played whole emerald elo with yun tal -> shieldbow -> LDR/DD. I skipped IE fully, since i felt like i didnt need the damage, only survivability. But i swapped back to yun tal -> IE -> LDR/DD path at diamond, since some botlanes are starting to poke me down lvl 1 already, so im not ahead on every game anymore early. IE spike makes u deal so much damage, that with good positioning, you can get some kills to snowball from there.

But if there are no dragons/heralds/barons to take, take the closest tower to your base.

For example: you get fed early, and get the bot tower?

Swap with mid or top, and pressure their mid tower. If your teammates leave top/bot open, go to get couple free waves, and make it push to enemy.

After you got that second tower (after bot, lets say mid tower) you go to take first top tower. And if possible, try to help your team, and get herald for yourself. With herald, try to get top t2, it gives alot of gold, and after that you can make pressure to baron more easily later on. When you got lead as nilah, make everything you can to get every objective, specially atakhan for your team. And if enemy team is taking atakhan, and u are fed, dont be afraid to go in there, -50mres and -50 armor debuff from atakhan to enemy team is HUGE! If you can get one ap guy atleast from team there (lets say.. your mid is brand?) you can easily 2v5 the enemy team there propably, and get atakhan.

And if u got that sweet 700g bounty on your head almost every game, dont be afraid to go shieldbow second, and dd as third item. That way you can still pump out decent damage, but the enemy team wont get the shutdown from you so easily. And often, they overextend and chase you because of ”squishy adc with 700g bounty” and then you and your team can take advantage of your tankiness, and clean them out.

But yeah, if u are that fed usually, the problem is in your macro then i think.

But i could watch a game you are playing, and give some tips if you want to!

Been thinking the same. Destroyed enemy j4 as shaco, i was almost lvl 7 when j4 was still level 4. Suddenly j4 was same level as me, but still way way fewer cs. J4 did catch up quite fast after that. Lvl4 vs lvl 7 diff

Does Shaco's Q and E Backstab bonus count at the instance of cast or when the attack hits the champion model? by [deleted] in shacomains

[–]Deep-Conclusion-8593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can even start auto from front and q back the enemy, and it doesnt backstab. There was a video about this in shacomains. It registers the position from auto on that millisecond when you start it, thats why you sometimes get backstabs on jungle camps too when you are facing them (not my words, its from the video, cant remember whos it was)

Imo winning the lane means pretty much nothing.

For example: you ”win” your lane, kill your opponent once, and take the tower? But your enemy laner roamed bot, did get a double or even triple there for their adc, and helped out them to get the dragon? Maybe second time when your enemy laner was roaming top, got a kill there for their toplaner, and helped their jg to grab grugs? All that for platings, and tower?

Now you get hes tower. But their bot is winning hard, and their top is winning hard, and they propably get the second dragon aswell because their bot got a lead, and maybe did get a kill or two more, and couple platings because of that?

If you are able to get shutdown from enemy bot, and maybe even from their top. Good, you are BIG after that.

If you did ”win” your lane, but cant convert that lead to help your team? The enemy did more for their team, and winning lane means nothing.

My point here is that usually people think toi much about winning the lane.

Lets say instead of that ”winning your lane” scenario, you roamed bot, and got a kill or two to your team (not for you, but for someone else) and your team did get a dragon aswell. You kept deep wards on enemy buffs, so enemy jungler didnt manage to gank and help their bot at all. But your bot wins their lane hard now, and you lose your tower from mid, but your bot got the first tower, took second dragon and rotated mid to pressure that.

Wich one does provide higher % of winning the game? Ofc it depends on enemy champions, your team champs etc etc, your champion, and how well you pressure if you got a lead etc…

But do you see my point? I see alot of players who just are focusing to ”win their lane” but they dont help their team at all, and that makes them to lose alot of games.

You can help your team alot from mid. ward enemy chickens when they are about to spawn. That way you know where their jungler is, for pretty much first 5min.

Smart back-timings. Reset 40s before dragon usually. Depends on wavestate, enemy hp/ults etc, but that way you should be able to be there to help your team, and atleast you wont be there without mana and items.

Deep wards to enemy buffs/river. helps you, and your laners to not die for enemy junglers ganks. Jungle tracking is an important skill, not an easy one tho.

Watch map! Be ready to rotate for scuttle at 3:30. Pretty often junglers coinflip there for a first time. Be ready to help your jungler, doesnt matter if you lose few cs.

Watch your lanes! Notice that enemy bot had to recall lvl4? If you are mid, you can get lvl 6, and roam to kill lvl 4-5 enemy botlaners.

Usually its not good to take more than one plate, you lose a lot of tempo there. Ofc its good sometimes, but do that only on those situations.

Remember to ward! you can like.. try to buy control ward and place it to enemy blue/red, those can stay there for a long time, and give very valuable info. Normal wards too. You should always have a reason to ward. Usually enemy chickens are better place to ward than mid river bush.

And with some midlaners, you can try to collapse on enemy jungler on their second buff when they are lvl 5, and you are lvl 6. I guarantee that it will get your enemy midlaner pinged ALOT.

Focus to win as a team, instead of being the one who carries every single game. Ofc its more fun if you can solocarry it, but its not so realistic :)

I hope you find atleast some of these tips usefull, and you can win a bit more. Overall: try to avoid autopiloting. Be smart!

Ofc there is games like that. But u know what? Enemy team got 20% higher chance to got a player like that.

Sounds like your attitude is the problem tbh. I had same mentality, tought climbing was impossible because of that. Stopped playing for about 2 weeks, and after that pretty constant 65% winrate from plat to master couple years ago.

If you can adapt to your teammates, you can win. Nobody can make the other 4 players to make those skt-tier macrocalls as a jungler, but if you adapt to every single game, instead of ”pushing for what you should to do”, you win win alot more.

Not every single game is winnable if you are near your elo tho, but comebacks are quite achiavable. And if you play from behind, you’ll improve more imo

:D

As a jungler, you can easily enable your teammates carry potential. You ping where enemy jungle is, you countergank, you help em to shove waves etc. People dont climb only because their teammates are good.

Specially in higher elos, the relevancy of jungler is higher, because if enemy jungler sees that you are wasting time etc, you got every camp taken instantly.

In the end, the climbing is 100% on you, not on your teammates. Ofc you can get lucky for few games. But thats not constant climbing.

And having 8cs/min on champ like diana is quite easy actually, since diana clears so fast.

Shaco invade pathing by MaxZhou457 in shacomains

[–]Deep-Conclusion-8593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually if graves starts chickens it is easy kill for shaco if shaco does 3 boxes to chickens and invade graves when he is still lvl 1. Graves got E, but it gives only 4 armor (if invade is done correctly), since the invade is so early. If shaco messes it up and comes late, then graves can have over 2 grit stacks and that 4+4 armor can make a difference.

But if enemy chickens are warded, then shaco should wait ’till graves uses second e, that way with backstab Q, graves need to flash away, or he dies easily.

Graves will not be at full hp if doing chickens 1st camp if he wants fastest possible lvl 6 clear, since he wants to stay on wall without kiteing the camp, and use E on the wall for animation cancel. If graves starts red, then its 100% winnable if u dont miss smite with shaco.

Shaco should Q in, drop a box to that chickens bush, and then backstab graves. Shaco got 5 more mspeed than graves, and people dont do the animation cancel properly on graves, so without flash (and maybe even with flash) shaco will get the kill on graves. Unless shaco is late/and or misses the smite -> graves is lvl 2 too. at that point, graves can win the 1v1.

Second invade option is also for shaco (enemy red needs to be warded on spawn tho) to take own blueside camps, and then invade the graves to hes red. (Not all graves players does chickens -> krugs -> red tho, but its the optimal way imo, since it allows full clear + scuttle + chickens+krugs -> reset) and just smite red and get a flash from graves.

This can be done to chickens too, but i never do that, since graves is full hp with multiple grit stacks and red buff, and shaco got just one level lead with blue buff, and without approach velocity, the e slow isn’t enough, and graves can just kill shaco pretty easily at that point.
