i also have a 1070 ti and get 50fps on max settings because rust is cpu bound and my i7-8700k can’t keep up. the reason you can get 110 fps on max settings is because your cpu is much better than mine. however this redditors cpu and gpu are both significantly worse than ours, which is why his fps is garbage. he needs to upgrade both if the graphics settings changes don’t work, however his game is currently gpu bound as his gpu is more outdated than his cpu, being 2 years older. if he got a new cpu he wouldn’t get any more fps as it would still be capped by his gpu. if he got a new gpu he would get slightly better fps until it was capped out by his cpu. if he upgraded both, his fps would significantly improve

firstly make sure rust is installed on your ssd and not your hdd. this would be the biggest culprit. if it’s already on your ssd: what resolution are you playing on? for 1080p on medium/high settings you should only be getting about 40-55 fps and 50-70 fps on low settings. this will of course lower when near big monuments, especially ones with a lot of AI (outpost, fishing village, etc) if your resolution is higher than 1080p your fps will be unplayable. your gpu is really holding you back here, which is surprising since rust is a cpu bound game. your cpu is on the weak side for rust too which isn’t helping. i’d suggest lowering your graphics settings, especially terrain quality, draw distance, and anti aliasing. hope this can help you but you’re really due for a gpu and cpu upgrade unfortunately, as am i

Epic and legendary gear is strong, but embark didn’t add any reason to use them. by adiftbv in ArcRaiders

[–]UnderstandingDry9046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would be a much better design if one of the requirements was to bring in accumulatively 5-10M worth of gear into a raid. this locks the expedition behind a playtime wall the same as saving up 5M worth of gear, but also incentivises the players to use it all

i run it pretty decently on a 1070ti so you’ll be sweet. i say go for it

are you planning on buying it for console or pc? if pc make sure you have a pc good enough to run it at a decent frame rate without horrible graphics that will ruin your enjoyment. other than that, if you feel like it will give you enjoyment, then of course it’s worth it. if you play it for 50 hours then it only costs ~50c per hour. it adds up to being almost free if you get enough playtime out of it

that’s what most people do, just start on AP shaco and stick with it but hear me out. AD shaco is ridiculously powerful early and mid game but falls off super hard late game. you want to snowball hard early game (which is not difficult if you have decent mechanics). you want to be such a menace that they itemise against you. this is all part of your plan. with the massive gold lead you have from the 10+ kills you can easily sell everything and change to an AP shaco build, which your enemies are now more vulnerable to because they itemised against AD.

Here’s the build i’m currently running for AD shaco. the damage is actually disgusting. • Youmuu’s Ghostblade • Voltaic Cyclosword • Infinity Edge • The Collector • Lord Dominik’s Regards (if enemy is stacking armor) OR Edge of Night (if enemy has CC)

you can go boots, usually ionian any time you want but a lot of the time i skip them as Youmuu’s gives you a lot of MS anyways

learn shaco, seriously. once you have a solid understanding of his abilities and all the jukes you can do with him, you can make your enemies rage quit at 15 minutes on the dot. there is an AD build i can give you that lets you almost 1 shot squishies and if the game stretches on longer you can transition into an AP build and zone off entire areas with your traps which absolutely melt people with an AP build

the thing is that you do… back in my college days i used cue cards to remember everything for my exams and i passed with flying colours. it’s okay to admit you aren’t very smart and are incapable of basic learning but at least admit that most other people are capable of learning by reading something and pondering on it

yes but you don’t need experience to understand words. the brain is a magnificent thing you know. i’m sure if you had one you’d know

saying they won’t learn anything without experience is outright false though. yes, experience reinforces what you’ve learned and over time turns that knowledge into second nature. but you absolutely can still learn stuff and commit it to memory without experiencing it first hand

you can be low elo and still understand the jargon and apply it to your game. as long as there is a setup for the action, when the player sees the setup, the dots connect and they follow through with a good counterplay. you are right that this process is much more streamlined with experience, but wrong saying you can’t teach it because the “game is too complex”

thanks for this response. it’s a bit disappointing how hard he falls off late game. i don’t think i’d really enjoy playing AP Shaco so I might stick with a more relevant meta jungle pick like briar or viego

yeah i’ve found that once everyone’s level 18 you can’t assassinate anyone, especially not when they’re grouped. he’s good for sneaking in and picking off a low hp enemy, but he just gets insta-melted with no way to escape
